Temperatures average in the 70's during the day and drop into the 40's at night.
To get to the ceremony, you will take two chairlifts from the Base Lodge at Whitefish Mountain Resort to the top of Big Mountain. The reception will be located at the Base Lodge afterwards. On the way down, take a ride on the alpine slide instead of the second lift!!!
The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside. Prepare for temperatures to drop at the top of the mountain. The rest of the reception will take place inside.
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight down to the Base Lodge where we will be serving finger foods and beverages. For the entire cocktail hour, guests are welcome to ride down the Alpine Slide as many times as they want.

You should arrive and load chairlifts from 5pm-5:30pm. The ceremony will begin at 6pm.

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

There is an ADA accessible gondola on Chair 1 that can accommodate a wheel chair. There is only one, so please arrive early to assure you have enough time! To access Chair 1, you will need to park in the Birch Lot and take the paved walkway to the lift. After the ceremony, drive back down to the Base Lodge to enjoy the reception! (Note that all PAY parking is free during the summer months.)
There are two free shuttles: one that transports you around the resort and the other to/from town. A shuttle will be provided after the reception for guests lodging on the mountain.
Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #SCHOENhertheGOLD so we can keep track of all of your pictures. Please do not take pictures during the ceremony.
