Tyler & Sarah were connected through Hinge - a dating app. Lucky 🍀 Tyler got a match with Sarah. They soon set their first date at the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Oceanview, Norfolk. Their date began at 8am when Tyler picked up Sarah and brought her favorite Starbucks drink & Chick-fil-A meal. They drove to the Oceanview Church to park and pre-gamed in the parking lot with Tyler's makeshift mobile bar in the back of his SUV. That was when Tyler discovered that Sarah has a very small bladder and there was no restroom in sight. Sarah did what most girls do best when they have to go in public and Tyler was not the best lookout because he wanted to give Sarah plenty of space for privacy (he was almost far gone). Tyler & Sarah made their way to the parade and enjoyed the scenery & people watching (mainly seeing a guy screaming and begging for St. Patrick's Day necklace beads - a true Oceanviewer). The first date was off to a good start and when the parade ended, they decided to continue the St. Patrick's Day festivities at the Oceanview Pier, where we were surprised to find out that Sarah's favorite local band, The Red Stapler Duo, was performing, and got front row seats (she was fan-girling hard!). They enjoyed more drinks and snuck in some energy drinks to continue the party! Sarah then suggested going to one of her favorite places in Norfolk, Hank's Filling Station. Keep this in mind, at this time in her life, she just entered the dating scene and wanted to keep it on the down-low. Tyler, on the other hand, has been on the dating apps for quite some time and was open about being in the dating pool. When they arrived at Hank's, Tyler was lucky enough to meet many of Sarah's friends unexpectedly! The look on Sarah's face was distraught, and she panically told Tyler to "go away" and "go to the bathroom". Tyler complied, but everyone noticed that Sarah was being weird. She texted Tyler when it was all clear for him to come out, and then both acted as if nothing had ever happened. Music bingo was playing, and they participated. Sarah ended up winning a round! Tyler and Sarah continued the good vibes, and they felt a connection which propped them to share their first kiss on the first date! Later in the evening, Tyler received a text from his friends Kasey & Donovan inviting him to come over to their house for a get-together and a bonfire. I told them I was on a date with Sarah, and they happily invited her too. Tyler mentioned it to Sarah and asked her if she would like to meet his friends, since he has already met many of her friends. She agreed and off they went until later in the night when Tyler had to drop Sarah back off in Norfolk. Tyler had a hard time leaving Sarah because he just had the best first date of his life and didn't want the night to end. This first date lasted for over 12 hours, and Tyler got to see Sarah again the next day! How could she ever get rid of him? Apparently, never since they are tying the knot on 10/24/26!
