Question

What travel documents are needed for Mexico?

Answer

Please make sure that you have an updated passport that does not expire before 12/2025. You may not be able to travel if your passport expires within 6 months of your trip. Passports can take up to 3 months to receive. To be safe, we recommend applying for, or renewing your passports as soon as possible.

Question

What if I don't speak Spanish?

Answer

Neither do we! While Spanish is the national language of Mexico, nearly everyone in San Miguel speaks some English. Most tours and services are offered in both languages, and you shouldn't have too much trouble finding someone who can speak English should you need some help. We also strongly recommend having Google Translate downloaded just in case.

Question

How do I get around San Miguel de Allende?

Answer

The central area San Miguel de Allende is walkable and you won't need a car to explore. That said, Uber or taxis are readily available and generally safe to get you around the city or to excursions out of town. Taxis will require cash (pesos)!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, this is an adult-only affair. Enjoy this as an opportunity for a kid-free vacation!

Question

What do I pack?

Answer

Your passport! Weather for June predicts highs in the 80s and lows in the 50s so bring a sweater or jacket for the evenings. Most of the streets are cobblestone, so flat comfortable shoes are strongly recommended. The sun seems stronger here! Pack some sunscreen or a hat (or buy one for $15 on the plaza).
