Yes, thanks for asking! We prefer you gift to one of our three cash funds on Zola, or use this link: www.zola.com/registry/tosinandkayla
No. The ceremony is at Regeneration Church ( 238 E 15th St, Oakland, CA 94606), and the reception is at California Ballroom (1736 Franklin Street. Oakland, CA 94612). It's a short ten minute drive between them.
For the ceremony, the church doors open at 2:15pm for seating, so feel free to arrive between 2:15-2:45pm. At the reception the first hour or so will be social mingling, so no need to arrive exactly at 4:30pm on the dot.
There will be a cash bar (alcoholic drinks are $3-5/each) between 4:30-5:30pm only, so grab your drinks then if you'd like them. Non-alcoholic drinks are complimentary and available all evening. :)
Yes!! However, keep in mind it will be a late evening (till 9:30pm), so if you'd like to bring your kids to the ceremony but get a sitter for the reception, that's fine too.
It's a party! Wear something you feel fancy in! :)
We will have a mainly Nigerian dinner. Please let us know when you RSVP what your specific allergies are, and we'll touch base with you about menu details. We want you to be safe and comfy!
There are 35 parking spaces at Regen and 40 parking spaces at the Ballroom. We ask that you please prioritize these spaces for families with small children, handicapped, and elderly.
There's plenty of street parking near Regen, on International Boulevard and the surrounding residential streets. For the Ballroom, we recommend public transit or Uber if possible, as street parking can be slim downtown. That said, there is a parking garage directly across the street from the Ballroom with semi-reasonable rates.
There is a bus stop across the street from Regen, and it is a 15 min walk from Lake Merritt BART. The California Ballroom is a 5 minute walk from 19th Street BART.
We have hired a professional photographer to document the event, but sure, go ahead! No *flash* photography though, and please be discreet when taking photos (ie, don't block everyone's view). Thanks!
Yes, we're attempting to be on trend (or has that trend passed by now?). Feel free to tag wedding photos posted on social media with #tosinandkayla.
Yes, Lake Merritt is a beautiful and generally safe area of Oakland. With that said, please do not leave valuables in your car, or anything visible on the seats. Always better to be on the safe side! We also hired security for the reception.
Yes. Regen has a back entrance that's wheelchair friendly, and California Ballroom has an elevator (the Ballroom is on the second story). Please let us know if you will require access to these so we can better accommodate you.
