Matron of Honor
Alissa and I found each other during one of the most trying times of our lives. We survived the good times and the really bad days of medical school and residency with evening trips to St. Augustine Beach, parties in her backyard (pig roasts, target shooting and flip cup), days off by the pool, dinners at The Top, dirt bike riding and the occasional trip to wake board-- where I basically just watched her kick butt! She's one of America's hottest "shark divers" (Maxim magazine agrees!), best dermatologists, and is now, an amazing mother to her two adorable children, Pierson and Maren, whom she shares with her loving husband Sean, a friend of mine from high school. She is my closest confidant.

Sara and I met as freshman at Notre Dame while living in Howard Hall, and we ended up roommates for 3 years. As two of the "Florida Girls," we quickly bonded over our shared experiences as 18 year olds far away from home, while braving our first winter in our "puffy coats." We spent way too many late nights cramming for chemistry tests with venti caramel macchiatos in hand, and even more late nights, closing the bars of South Bend. Unfortunately, we were both caught underage when the Boat Club sank and as a result, had to spend the rest of our sophomore year doing community service as we paid off our debt to society. She was present for my very first "hair dance" and absolutely has to be there for my first married one. She will forever be, my "Life Partner."

Mary and I met in room #335 of Howard Hall, the best quint on campus, during Frosh-O 2001. Our parents were slow to leave us and cried together as they finally drove away, but we were all too happy to have our independence and start our freshman year. The "It's More Fun with Five" friends soon became infamous on South Quad for our late night dance parties which were, unbeknownst to us, watched by the architect students in the building next door, and our awesome SYR dorm parties. I've always admired Mary's commitment to foods that she loves-- bagels, chocolate, peanut butter, pizza--- and her even greater commitment to the goals she sets out for herself. She's one of the strongest people I've ever met, and she will always be one of my most treasured friends.
