It was a late summer Saturday afternoon in Bozeman, Montana when Thomas Melvin came strolling into a local restaurant after a day on the water. Tom had just finished a day of fishing on the Madison River with his dog Shooter. Needless to say, Tom looked slightly homeless and dehydrated (Katie's words). In dire need of a refreshment and wanting to catch the Alabama game, he popped into a nearby watering hole, which happened to be Katie's second place of work. While pouring drinks and slinging jokes, a coworker (Katie Monnin) introduced Katie Kelly to Tom. Katie cracked a few crude jokes with little response from Tom, to her disappointment. Due to Tom's quiet and respectful nature he assumed Katie was spoken for. Little did he know Katie was on the prowl. After her shift she headed home, and a bottle of wine later she proceeded with heavy social media research that would surely impress the CIA. She found him. Tom Melvin. Katie slid into Tom's direct messages like a fat kid on a slip and slide. She suggested he take her out. Tom happily agreed. Since then, Tom and Katie have lived together, joined fur babies, traveled, cooked and dined, laid sod, laughed more in the last year than ever before, and grown as a couple. The past year and a half has been full of love, support and lots of memories.
