Fatma

Bride

Fatma literally changed Thomas' life. She pulled him away from a world he hadn't realized he didn't want and opened the doors to a beautiful alternative. Some thought she had kidnapped him and held him hostage in Bulagria, but let's set the record straight: Thomas stayed for Fatma. He would have followed her anywhere. He did, actually. He still does. Because Fatma is worth it. She's got the biggest heart. She's naturally sociable, empathitic and selfless, and incredibly kind. It's only once you've grown very close to her that she'll be mean to you. And even then, you'll come back for more, because that's when she makes you grow. She has a wisdom that only comes with age, which hints at her old soul. Fatma has made Thomas a better person–anyone who knew him before will attest to that. She keeps doing it every day. Thomas wants to be the best version of himself, for Fatma. And she's funny too. Sometimes in spite of her, with the weird things that make her who she is, like her obsessions with smells, but also because she's genuinely funny. Better yet, she'll make you feel funny too, blessing you with her easy laugh even when your jokes are bad. Thomas has made it his mission to make her laugh every day, because she deserves love and laughter, what makes life worth living. Thomas has been calling Fatma his 'little wife' for a while already. He knew since the first summer that she'd be his forever. Time to make it official.

Thomas

Groom

Everyone Fatma has introduced Thomas to has said "You have a very nice boyfriend!". And this is simply the truth. He is a sunshine making each day a brighter one. The most genuine person in the world, never hiding his feelings or thoughts, with a precious talent for storytelling. And a gift for putting a smile on every person's face with his original (but sometimes exhausting) jokes. Even he sometimes gets tired of his own humor, but Fatma never does. Nine years later, he still manages to bring her to tears of laughter and love. Fatma cannot imagine the person she would have become if Thomas hadn't entered her into her life. And if he wasn't so stubborn as to never leave. Thomas is also the person Fatma admires the most. For his warm and radiating heart that makes even the hardest days bearable. For his creative mind that can always surprise one with the infinite ideas he's got and turn the mundane into the beautiful. For his discipline that brings order even in the most chaotic moments. For him being himself, even when that self is a stay-at-home cat or a hibernating bear. Always and with everyone. Fatma often says that she wishes other women could experience what it is to be so truly and unconditionally loved, appreciated and supported every single moment of life. She's incredibly grateful to be so lucky. Thomas is ready to do everything for Fatma. Even to the point of getting married in Bulgaria.

Songül

Maid of Honor

Although they technically aren't, there is no better word to describe Fatma and Songül than 'sisters'. If not by blood, by something much stronger: by choice. These two are like the two sides of the same coin: very similar in many ways, completely different, if not opposites, in others. As children, Songül would grab the attention and demand the spotlight as the sunshine that she was (and still is), while Fatma was more... well, to use her own words, 'mean and dark'. Songül was the creative and emotional one, Fatma the serious and rational one. But you would not find one without the other. Inseparable for the better part of their life, the distance that now separates them is only geographical. Fatma could not have imagined anyone else than Songül to be right by her side on this day.

Julien

Best Man

Julien is Thomas' younger brother, and for a long time, you would have believed the same person had been born a second time, 4 years later–although Julien would claim he was the cutest of the two. Those 90's kids spent hours playing video games and watching movies during the majority of the year (Feeling guilty? Not really.), and as much time in the water in the summer. They don't get to spend as much time together as they'd like now, but they can still speak to each other in movies/series quotes. And Julien still manages to get Thomas to get back to playing video games, however short that lasts, to Fatma's despair. Thomas has always had plenty of friends. Well, several friends. But he never really had that one 'best friend'. Probably because it was always his brother. Who has now leveled up to 'Best Man' for these special day(s).
