Of all places, he picked Bulgaria, because 'When am I ever going to visit this country, might as well spend the summer there!'. Little did he know this trip would turn his life around. Because in this story, there was also a Turkish girl, who was studying in Berlin, while working remotely in a startup company. Everyone in the team was planning to work in their first office in Bulgaria ever over the summer. And so boy met girl, and their stories began to intertwine. Two months later, boy's internship came to an end. Now on his way to China, he was intent on not keeping his promise that 'This is just a summer fling.' Boy and girl were now separated by several thousand kilometres and time zones, but far from the eyes, close to the heart, right? There was this one call at 3am (China time) from the bathroom of boy's shared room that sealed the deal. If there were any hesitations before, after this call, all idea of a summer fling was buried. Girl went to Tanzania, and when came the end of the year, boy met her there. There were no doubts. She was the one. He was the one. The stories became one. We wrote several chapters since then, but the next one, we want to write it with you.

Vous connaissez sans doute déjà l'histoire, mais au cas où... Il était une fois un jeune Français qui devait faire un stage à l'étranger pendant l'été. Il choisit la Bulgarie, parce que « Quand est-ce que je vais visiter ce pays, autant y passer l'été ». Il était loin de se douter que ce voyage allait bouleverser sa vie. Car dans cette histoire, il y avait aussi une jeune fille turque, qui étudiait à Berlin, où elle travaillait également à distance dans une startup. L'équipe prévoyait de travailler dans leur premier bureau en Bulgarie pendant l'été. C'est ainsi que le garçon a rencontré la fille et que leurs histoires ont commencé à s'entremêler. Deux mois plus tard, le stage du garçon s'est achevé. En route pour la Chine, il est bien décidé à ne pas tenir sa promesse selon laquelle: « C'était juste pour l'été ». Le garçon et la fille étaient désormais séparés par plusieurs milliers de kilomètres et de fuseaux horaires, mais loin des yeux, près du cœur, n'est-ce pas ? Il y a eu cet appel à 3 heures du matin (heure de Chine) depuis la salle de bain de la chambre partagée qui a scellé l'affaire. S'il y avait des hésitations avant, après cet appel, toute idée d'une aventure estivale a été enterrée. La fille est partie en Tanzanie et, à la fin de l'année, le garçon l'a retrouvée là-bas. Il n'y avait plus de doutes. C'était elle. C'était lui. Les histoires ne faisaient plus qu'une. Nous avons écrit plusieurs chapitres depuis lors, mais le prochain, nous voulons l'écrire avec vous.

Muhtemelen hikâyemizi zaten biliyorsunuzdur ama yine de küçük bir hatırlatma olarak yazıya dökelim dedik ... Bir zamanlar yazın yurtdışında staj yapması gereken Fransız bir çocuk varmış. O kadar yer arasından Bulgaristan'ı seçmiş çünkü “Bu ülkeye ne zaman gideceğim ki, yazı orada geçireyim bari!” demiş. Bu seyahatin, hayatını değiştireceğini bilmiyordu tabii. Malum, bu hikâyede Berlin'de okuyan ve aynı zamanda Bulgar bir startup'ta uzaktan çalışan bir Türk kızı da vardı. Şirketteki herkes yaz boyunca stajyerler de dahil Bulgaristan'daki ilk ofislerinde çalışmayı dört gözle bekliyordu. Böylece oğlan kızla tanıştı ve ortak hikâyeleri gelişmeye başladı. İki ay sonra oğlanın stajı sona erdi. Şimdi Çin'e doğru yola çıkmıştı ve “Bu sadece bir yaz kaçamağı” sözünü tutmamaya niyetliydi. Oğlan ve kız artık binlerce kilometre uzakta ve zaman dilimleriyle ayrılmışlardı ama aralarındaki mesafeye rağmen kalpleri daha da birleşiyordu. Gece saat 3'te (Çin saatiyle) oğlanın ortak odasının banyosundan gelen bir telefon anlaşmayı mühürledi. Daha önce herhangi bir tereddüt varsa bile, bu aramadan sonra tüm yaz kaçamağı fikri tarihte kaldı. Kız Tanzanya'ya gitti ve yıl sonunda peşini bırakmayan oğlan yeni yıl hediyesi olarak taa Tanzanya'ya gelmiş, karşısında duruyordu. Hiç şüphe yoktu. Oğlan aradığı kişiydi. Kız da oğlanın şüphesiz aşık olduğu. Kalpleri ve hikâyeleri bir oldu. O günden beri hayat hikâyemizin birçok bölümünü beraber yazdık ve bir sonrakini sizinle birlikte yazmak için sabırsızlıkla bekliyoruz!
