Question

Why are there 2 dates for the wedding?

Answer

Because there are 2 weddings! We're calling the first one the Traditional Wedding. It will take place in "the village", Topchiysko, on Thursday 7, Aug 2025. The second one is the Modern Wedding. It will take place at the seaside, at Nomad Camp, on Saturday 9, Aug 2025.

Question

What do we do on the 8th then?

Answer

In between the two weddings, you're free to do what you want. We'll be heading to the seaside for a day at the beach. A shuttle will leave from the first hotel to take us to the Nomad camp. Check out the "Things to do" tab for recommendations on what to do around!

Question

Where can we stay for the duration of the wedding(s)?

Answer

We will prepare accommodation for you for the first wedding, either in one of the two villages where Fatma has family, or at a nearby hotel. We're doing our best to save you the trouble of finding accommodation for yourself, but if you'd rather do that, that's of course an option! For the second wedding, some of our guests will stay at the place of the event, Nomad Camp, while others will be able to book nearby hotels.

Question

Do I have to attend both weddings?

Answer

Not at all, you're free to attend only one, or both! Just let us know in advance if you can't make it to one of the weddings. :)

Question

I have some time to visit the country when I come. Where should I go?

Answer

Great idea! Head over to the 'Things to do' section for our recommendations. If you've spotted other places that aren't on the list, ask us and we can tell you what we think.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

For the 'traditional wedding' in the village, dress code is casual: no need to worry too much about it, come and dress comfortably. If you're up for it, there will be some traditional dances on the menu, so take that into account ;) For the 'modern wedding', think 'Garden attire': light colored dresses and suits, linen or cotton pants recommended. The place (Nomad Camp) is a very unpretentious seaside hotel/camp, so we will have it not very shiny.

Question

How do I get to the location of the weddings?

Answer

For most of you, flying will unfortunately be the fastest option. If possible, book tickets to the airports of Burgas or Varna, where we can pick you up more easily. If neither is a good option, check Sofia airport. From there, you'll need to take a train or bus to either Burgas, or, preferably, Aytos. If you have the time, we would encourage you to travel by train or bus to Sofia, then Burgas or Aytos.

Question

How can I go to the location of the barbecue on August 6?

Answer

Unfortunately, we cannot organize transportation to the house, so you'll have to come by car or bus (if there is one that stops nearby). The address is included in the 'Schedule' tab, you can't miss the big red house :) There will be space for you to park in the yard in front of the house.

Question

What should I expect for the traditional wedding?

Answer

We're expecting a mild to severe culture shock for our guests unfamiliar with Turkish traditions, and don't want to ruin the surprise! But do expect a lot of people, music, and dancing, along with a few more ceremonial elements ;)

Question

There's a registry tab, but it's empty...

Answer

Try as we might, we can't get rid of this tab. We appreciate all of you coming to celebrate with us and are conscious of the financial effort of traveling in the middle of the summer. Your presence is gift enough for us <3 Should you still want to contribute to our honeymoon, we'll more than appreciate a transfer to this account: IBAN: FR76 2573 3000 0100 0001 4274 826 BIC: PSSSFR22

Question

How do we get to the location of the traditional wedding?

Answer

For those of you staying in Aytos, we'll organize a shuttle bus to take you to the location of the event and back to your hotel. Those of you who rented car are free to go to the event by car as well, to come and go when you see fit! We're still counting you among the shuttle-takers in case you want to sample the local rakia during the event.

Question

I'm renting a car: anything I should know?

Answer

Small note to those renting a car and who haven’t driven in Bulgaria before: roads here are sometimes akin to roller-coasters, and you’ll quickly find that the right side of the road isn’t exactly smooth, so be extra careful :) There are construction works between Aytos and Topchiysko (location of the traditional wedding), so if you're coming by car, be mindful of that and the turns on the mountain road!
