FAQs

Question

Will there be dinner?

Answer

There will not be a seated dinner after the ceremony, however we will have heavy hors d’hoeuvres, snacks, dessert and some late night eats throughout the evening to keep everyone full and happy. Please plan your afternoon meals accordingly. We’ve provided some delicious area restaurants to visit in the “Things To Do” page. Take a look!

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

No. This will be a kid and pet free weekend (I know for many they are interchangeable). So please make arrangements elsewhere for all your lovely children.

Question

Can you tell me more about the dress code?

Answer

Black tie optional. We'd love it if everyone dresses to impress. For the guys, dust off that tux, find a rental, or if you prefer, grab your favorite dark suit and tie or bowtie. For the women, evening gowns and formal wear. Google image “women black tie wedding attire”. I always find that helpful! For the heel wearers, since the ceremony will be in a wooded outdoor area, we recommend a wide heel to best navigate the walk through the grassy walkways (picture half a football field for size). If you can’t walk around your yard in them, you won’t be able to get around the grounds easily either.

Question

Can I park at the venue?

Answer

We highly recommend everyone be safe and don’t drink and drive. For the DDs and those who need to drive, parking at the Woodhouse Lodge is restricted to only those staying on the property for the weekend and limited family members. We are working to arrange additional parking across the street and there will be parking available at the Holiday Inn Express in Coxsackie. We have arranged a hotel shuttle to transport guests to and from the venue from there as well. Please check back for final details closer to the event.

Question

Why didn’t I get a plus one?

Answer

This venue has very limited space. We are bound to a finite number of guests, so we have had to make many hard choices. If you’re part of a group of friends, we are viewing that group as your plus one.

Question

What the heck is a Wojner???

Answer

A Wojner is when a Wojdyla falls in love with a Warner, and they both love their names, but they also know how to compromise. They like to call themselves the Wojners to honor each of their families. It is a fun nickname that brings them much joy, not a legal name.

Question

The Woodhouse Lodge is a hotel, can we stay there?

Answer

The rooms at Woodhouse have already been reserved, and unfortunately, no rooms are available. We recommend one of the many Airbnbs in the area or the hotels noted on the “Travel” page as great alternatives.
