Yes! It was a spur-of-the-moment decision, and we did get legally married on our original date of March 28, 2020, through a tornado and hail storm! Luckily, we already had our marriage license before the courts shut down and TJ, Hannah's father, got an online minister's license and was able to preside. Our wedding went from 300 to 7, and we were grateful to be able to get married! It is our hope to celebrate together here in November and get married in the Catholic church. We are currently rescheduling the church and the ceremony for November.
As the safety of our guests is a top priority, we have decided to reschedule our wedding celebration once again. Most of the details will be changing, however, we will still be holding a Catholic ceremony (yes, even though we are already legally married), the cocktail hour and reception will be held at Senaca's Oak Ridge, there will be a block of rooms reserved, and transportation will be provided between the hotel and reception hall. If you are planning an overnight stay, please see the travel and lodging tab. We will continue to update our website as we finalize our new date.
Yes. Because we've had to reschedule twice and the new date is year away from the original, we will be resending a paper invitation and RSVP with the latest details once we get closer to the new date. You will still have the option to RSVP online at that time.
Yes! Although We are working on a block of rooms at GrandBear Lodge, and there are several other hotels in the area with ranging price points. For example, the Hampton Inn in Peru!
We’ve booked a trolley that will transport guests to and from the church, hotel, and reception hall. Guests will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the church ceremony as well as any hotel arrangements other than the block of rooms listed under travel and lodging. *Visit the Travel & Lodging page for more details.
Surprisingly, lots! Check out the “Things to Do” section of this website for a few great places to start with dining, shopping, wine tasting, hiking, and local history.
YES! We love your little ones!
Primarily silver and greyish blues! You’ll also see accents of sage green, white, and burgundy.
We’d still love to have you! Just make sure you show up with a folding chair and a sandwich.
This is not a “black tie” event, so you certainly don’t need to break out your floor-length Victorian robes or top hats; however, we ask that you use your best judgement based on this special occasion. As an example, it’d be best to keep the jeans and/or Hawaiian shirts in the closet for the big day. For additional questions, you may want to consult with your local Men’s Wearhouse (Billy's favorite place to shop.)
