Billy sat at the bar of Medici in Uptown Normal anxiously awaiting Hannah’s arrival. She breezed in fashionably late, (or on “Spohnholtz time” as Billy will later dub it). They were seated upstairs on the patio and began what would turn out to be more than just dinner. Hannah babbled nervously while Billy listened intently. The evening continued on with a walk around Uptown where family, food, theatre, insurance, and so much more was discussed. What had started as just a dinner had turned into an 7+ hour evening together including drinks at Maggies followed by some late night hot dogs. The night ended with a heartfelt moment of goodbye with the two agreeing on a second date.

Just over two years after that first date, Hannah & Billy returned back to Uptown Normal for what seemingly was a late celebration of their dating anniversary. What Hannah didn’t realize was that the “couple photos” she had arranged to kick off the weekend in Normal were secretly sabatoged by Billy to include a proposal mid-photoshoot. After the proposal, the happy, newly-engaged couple was able to relive their first date together with dinner at Medici and an evening around uptown.

Hannah and Billy were lucky! Their planning ahead allowed for a spur of the moment decision. Hannah asked her father to become a minister online since they had their original wedding certificate before the courts closed. The wedding of over two hundred turned into a wedding of seven. Hannah borrowed a vintage dress; Billy threw on a suit. The rest is history, and they’re married!

For the safety of our guests, we postponed our wedding, again. We went from two weeks back to nineteen, and then from a full year to nine more months. We postponed originally for us all to celebrate together which is the same reasoning behind the one-year anniversary postponement. As this public health crisis continues, we want to be able to celebrate with you all safe and the way we always pictured. Stay safe and healthy! We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone hopefully this upcoming November!

We have confirmed that we will be moving forward with a Catholic Ceremony and full reception this upcoming November. We have waited this long to celebrate with ALL our friends and family! We cannot wait to see you and celebrate!
