Nick's younger brother Nate is brother #3 out of the 4 Dern bros, and clearly the most studly of them all. Nick has enjoyed Nate's close friendship, as he is the most loyal companions Nick has ever found. He's quick a zinger, and will battle to exhaustion in any competitive endeavor. Many a battle have been found in ping pong, corn hole, pin ball, pool, basically any arcade/lawn game. Nick attributes most of his unusual talent at these games to his life-long fiercest opponent, but appreciates how they can battle so intensely and yet remain best friends.
Elizabeth Gruene

Nicole's best friend since kindergarten Elizabeth and Nicole went to school together from K-12 AND danced together, which means after over 20 years of friendship she's got even more material on Nicole than Nick. Elizabeth appears in almost every Kroese family scrapbook and home video and has been Nicole's partner in crime from the barbie obsession phase, through the teenage awkwardness and all the way to finding their soulmates.
Kurt Maddern
Groomsman
Nick's older brother Nick and Kurt have traveled together from Massachusetts, to Paris, to New Orleans, to New York City. They've had their share of good times, topped off by Kurt's marriage to Hannah in Denver, September 2017. Considering how close they have been all their lives, it is no surprise they ended up marrying two girls who were friends and coworkers.
Lucy Braid

Nicole's best friend from NYU. Lucy and Nicole met during Welcome Week at NYU and were practically inseparable from that day. At the end of Freshman year, they took their friendship to the next level, moving into Sophomore housing together (in a room that was so small they could hold hands from their twin beds...) and making their relationships status on Facebook "Married." Lucy and Nicole were roommates for 6 beautiful years before Nick stole her away :). Fun fact, Nicole is still "Married" to Lucy on Facebook.
Jared Maddern

Nick's youngest brother Jed is the healthy, level-headed balance to the high flying brothers #1 and #3. And Jed and Nick have been described as similar souls compared to Kurt and Nate. While being the youngest, he somehow has the most wisdom of all the Dern brothers. Don't believe me? Just ask him.
Hannah Maddern
Bridesmaid
Nicole's former co-worker, NYC friend, and Kurt's wife. Hannah and Nicole met working at a small PR firm in NYC - both of their first jobs in NYC after college. They bonded over what was an eclectic work environment (to say the least), and many late, boozy, nights supporting their client DonQ Rum. Hannah was one of the first to meet Nick - the new guy Nicole was seeing. Then, an innocent setup between Hannah & Nick's other brother, Kurt, flourished into lots of double dates, and later, the first Dern wedding! Nicole couldn't be happier for Hannah to officially be her sister in law.
Daniel Kroese
Usher
Nicole's sister and Nick's future brother-in-law. Daniel's had a lifetime to know and protect Nicole, and almost 7 years to get to know Nick. Nicole was slightly terrified the first time they met, but Daniel played nice and we've all been enjoying fun vacations, holidays, and meals ever since. During the wedding weekend, you'll find Daniel eating multiple NY City Subs per day and hiking Dog Mountain at an aggressive pace. Daniel is fresh off his own wedding - love is alive in the Kroese fam!
