Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Yes, it's recommended. Although there are other ways to get to Hood River from PDX ($100/1hr taxi, $8/2hr bus ride), we suggest that you rent a car. There are some awesome local activities that require driving. Uber is unavailable in town. And the local taxi company literally operates only 2 cars.

When should I book lodging?

Answer

ASAP! This is a small town summer vacation destination and hotels book up fast, especially since the 4th of July is the following week. We recommend booking before Jan 2019. Unfortunately there are no room blocks, but there are lots of reasonably priced options. Please see the Travel tab for hotel option, from where we will provide transportation to/from the wedding.

Is there a welcome party on Friday?

Answer

Yes! Come join the wedding party after our rehearsal dinner at 3 Rivers Grill. Come by around 7 pm, and please eat beforehand.

What is the attire?

Answer

Summer Formal. Ladies!...Please keep in mind, the ceremony will take place on grass if that influences your choice of footwear. But all the dinner/dancing will be indoors.

Should I fly into Seattle or Portland?

Answer

Portland. It is much closer - only a ~1 hr drive to Hood River so it's recommended for out of towners! Seattle is a 3.5-4hr drive to Hood River, OR.

Are my kids and/or pets allowed?

Answer
