We have reserved the entire hotel for all of our guests for the night of April 22, 2022. Rooms will be assigned according to couples/groups in advance. Guests can expect to spend approximately $150/night. There is no need to contact the hotel as all arrangements have been made.

Hotel Reykjavik Centrum

This is the hotel where a hotel block has been placed for the night of April 23, 2022. Upon arrival, guests will need to speak with the receptionist and say they are with the Greifer wedding. The hotel is a short walk from the reception location. The cost for a room is approximately $150 USD. If you have any questions regarding lodging for April 23rd, please contact either Jennifer or Jacob for assistance. We appreciate everyone's flexibility on this!

COVID-19 Vaccination

Iceland has their borders open to US travelers. As of February 25, 2022, Iceland is not longer requiring vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to enter the country! We are all free to enter as we please!

Flight

Keflavik Airport

Reykjavik's main airport is Keflavik Airport (KEF). Guests may choose to book flights from their closest home airport, but should expect a connection. However, flights are often cheaper to Iceland from all New York airports (JFK, EWR, LGA), as well as Boston (BOS) and Chicago (ORD). You can book a flight from any of these locations, with a subsequent booking from your home airport to your airport of choice. Economy seats from any of the New York or Boston airports should cost around $325-$400 round trip per ticket. This website may be the best way for you all to buy your tickets to Iceland. They offer a free and paid ($40/year) services to find cheap flights. If you sign up, the team will email you deals they find every single day for cheap flights. This will be how Jennifer and Jacob book their flights for the wedding. We would highly recommend you all to use the service!

Rental Car

Keflavik Airport Car Rental

As of now a vast majority of guests have informed us they would prefer to rent a car as opposed to riding on a bus for the group. Thus, in order to get to Umi Hotel and back to Reykjavík for the reception and your return flight, you will need to rent a car or carpool with someone who is renting a car. Cars are available for rent at the airport upon arrival. Rentals can be done beforehand on any travel agency website, for example, booking.com or kayak.com.
