Sólheimasandur Plane Wreck
A must see spot in Southern Iceland, and only a 15 minute drive from the hotel! The hike to the wreck is about 1 hour each way, so wear comfortable shoes!
Kvernufoss Waterfall
A very easy hike, about 20 minutes each way. A much less visited waterfall in the area and only 10 minutes from the hotel!
Skógafoss
One of Iceland's most popular and beautiful waterfalls. It is only about 10 minutes from the hotel! For a breathtaking view of the south coast, climb the 370 steps to the top of the waterfall!
Seljavallalaug Swimming Pool
Built in 1923, this is one of the oldest pools in Iceland. A short 20 minute hike through a valley and you can take a quick dip! It is maintained by volunteers so its always swimmable (weather permitting). It is just up the road from the hotel.
Reynisfjara Beach
These Icelandic sea stacks are a must see on the trip! They are about 30 minutes by car from the hotel!
Dyrhólaey Lighthouse
Incredible views from the lighthouse overlooking the coast, it really is a must see.
Vik
Visit the town of Vik! There's plenty to do in town, from shopping for souvenirs to trying a flight of Icelandic beers or trying some new food! It is just over 30 minutes from the hotel.
