Cantler's Riverside Inn
When in MD, we highly recommend checking out the many crab options that are on the Bay. One of the greatest is not far from our venue - Cantler's Riverside Inn. It is a favorite among the locals and is so well-known that (on weekends) you can expect a wait—first for a parking space, then for a table, especially if you’re hoping for one outside overlooking the creek (all seating is first-come, first-served). But it is well worth the wait!
Cult Classic Brewing
For those looking to try out the local brewery, go no further than Cult Classic Brewing. The brewhaus is a Kent Island staple that offers a variety of different beers alongside a full pub menu. Located centrally in Kent Island, you can't miss it!
Annapolis Boat Shows
As mentioned in other places on the website, our wedding weekend falls on Annapolis Sailboat Show weekend. For our boat loving guests, this event is for you! It is an annual celebration of sailing, featuring floating docks lined with sailboats from manufacturers around the world. Show tents line the shore, stocked with the latest in nautical gear and accessories, electronics, communication equipment, sails, rigging, education, charter companies, clubs and more. Tickets are $25, and will go on sale closer to the event!
U.S. Naval Academy Museum
Being the capital of Maryland, Annapolis has numerous museums. However, because Navy is located in Annapolis, we highly recommend the Naval Academy Museum. The museum collection includes historical artifacts and audio/video that covers much of American naval history and also the naval forces of other countries. The tickets are free and you can find the museum hours on their website!
Cross Island Trail Trailhead
For individuals looking for some outdoorsy activity, Kent Island has 28 miles of flat, picturesque bike/walking trails. The Cross Island Trail is a free, 6.5 mile trail that wanders through farmlands, meadows and woods. Flanked by park benches, the trail crosses several creeks with wooden bridges, offering a spectacular view of waterfowl and wetlands.
Cascia Vineyards & Winery
This winery is quite literally right down the road from our venue! It is a family-operated and owned vineyard on Kent Island that offers a wide selection of red and white wines. They have a taproom where you can try their delicious wines - it is always open from 12pm-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays!
Kent Island Boat Charters
If you really want to be a part of the Eastern Shore crowd, we highly recommend booking a boat tour around the Bay! Kent Island Boat Charters offers tours around the island or Annapolis and can be 2-4 hours long. The boat can charter up to 6 people at a time, so grab some friends, and enjoy a day/sunset cruise on the water!
