Mckenna and Lauren met in 2015 when walking in summer Show Choir practice when Lauren held the door for McKenna and Mckenna said "Hey, don't I follow you on instagram?" After that they soon learned they've lived within walking distance to each other's houses, began to carpool to everything, and have become best friends ever since. Though McKenna transferred to Mizzou her sophomore year of college, no distance could deter their friendship. Even to this day with Mckenna living in Chicago and Lauren in Charlotte, its always been Lauren and Mckenna picking up exactly where they left off.
Lauren Chandler
Co-Maid of Honor
Lauren and Lauren, or should we say Chandler and Welch as all Creighton graduates know them as, have been friends since the start Nursing school at Creighton University in 2019. So close, that these two went on to live together in a house of 5 girls for their Junior and Senior years. With many late night chats on the blue couches of "The 405," to traveling together to various places of the country, countless coffee shop dates, shared bonding over Nursing, and infinite memories together, this iconic Lauren x 2 bond can never be broken.
Kate Gervasini
Bridesmaid
Kate was one of Lauren's first friends in Charlotte through the introduction of a mutual friend. The first time this pair officially met was at a "funny t-shirt" themed bar crawl. After matching each others energy, their friendship has been a go. With living in the same apartment complex, many nights on the town, a road trip to Charleston, regular girl walks in the park with Daisy, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs together; Lauren cannot wait to have Kate as her bridesmaid.
Laura & Virginia Bostwick
Bridesmaid
Lauren is thrilled to have Rory's younger sisters, Virginia and Laura, stand at her side during her wedding day. Lauren first met Ginny and Laura when they were visiting Rory in July of 2022. At the time of the wedding, Ginny will be finishing her junior in high school and Laura will be graduating from University of Northern Iowa in May 2026. After growing up with only brothers, Lauren is so excited to finally be able to say she has "sisters".
Aidan Bostwick
Best Man
With Aidan being only a year and a half younger than Rory, these brothers have shared so many experiences from growing up together, playing on the same childhood baseball and football team, and beyond. Aidan went to Iowa State University for college, and is currently in his pilot training with the US Army. Despite some sibling rivalry with Rory being a Vikings fan and Aidan being a Packers fan, they will put their sports team preferences to the side and Rory is so excited to have Aidan stand on the alter as Best Man.
Charlie Bostwick
Groomsman
Charlie is Rory’s second younger brother, and we are so excited for him to joining in the groomsman line up. Although Charlie and Rory align on sports teams (Go Vikings!), their sibling rivalry spurs in branches of US service. Currently, Charlie is at the Air Force Academy in Colorado; though Rory is sure he wishes he was in the Army like his two older brothers. Charlie’s ambition and drive has always been admirable, and Rory is thrilled to have him as part of the wedding party.
Matthew Koopmann
Groomsman
Matthew has been a constant in Rory’s life as one of his longest term friendships. After meeting in high school, they knew this was a friendship that could withstand any separation even as Matthew attended University of Iowa and Rory attending Creighton University for their collegiate years. Between summer trips to Lake of the Ozarks, annual Cy-Hawk Football games, and visiting each other in Charlotte and Cedar Rapids, these two always pick up right where they have left off. Rory is so excited to have one of his closest friends by his side on the big day.
Kyle & Drew Welch
Groomsman
Rory is so excited to have Lauren's two brothers, Kyle and Drew, standing with him on the alter. With Rory already having three brothers, what's adding two more?! Kyle has been living in Dallas, Texas and is working as a Portfolio Manager/Credit Products Underwriter II. And Drew is working his days as a Data Enterprise Associate in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We are so excited for them to here in Charlotte for the big day!
