Are you registered? Where?
Answer
We do not have an official registry since we have yet to build our dream home together. We welcome gift cards to Crate and Barrel and Pottery Barn for when that time comes. Cash will never be turned down by The Brown’s;)
Question
How do we get around the Island?
Answer
Block Island is a very walkable island. Many people also enjoy biking the island or riding mopeds. Bike rental info is under “Things to Do” section. For places not walkable, there are many taxis which are cash only. A few taxi name and numbers are under the “travel” tab. For those few that are bringing their cars, the hotel provides one spot per room.

What else do I need to know?
Answer
Cash is King on Block Island. Most places only take cash, so please plan accordingly. There is an atm in the hotel lobby. There is a pool at the hotel for all wedding guests. It located at the Gables, an extension of the hotel, across the street from the main hotel entrance. We will reserve some beach chairs for the beach party, but feel free to bring your own if you so desire:)

What is MUST on Island?
Answer
Payne’s Dounuts is a pop up truck that has amazing donuts and coffee if you have a sweet tooth. From the hotel, we recommend a taxi, as it is a farther walk than most places. Bike or moped rental- it is a fun way to explore the island For the kids, 1661 Farm and Garden. Info under “things to do” The Oar is a great spot for mudslides and casual food. They have corn hole and a beautiful marina view. Spring House- Adirondack chairs overlooking the ocean. More upscale. Live music from 5:30-8:30 nightly. For our late night party goers- Captain Nicks and Kittens will be our late night spots with live music. There are many cute stores, coffee shops and restaurants for those looking to do some shopping.

Why did you plan our entire weekend?

All of these events are just options and we would love to have everyone at all of them but please feel free to do your own thing and explore the island at any time. We will not be offended whatsoever if you do not attend… (other than the wedding, of course!).

Matt is still in the Stone Age of only using facebook. We will also be starting a shared album on our phones that we will add everyone to once we arrive on island. What is the dress attire for the wedding and weekend events?
Answer
Welcome Bonfire: Located on the beach so please dress warm as it can get cool this time of year. Wedding: Dressy casual. Suits (linen ok), tie not necessary if it ain’t your thang. The ceremony will be on grass and the reception on crushed shells so please plan footwear accordingly. All other events casual
