Matt and Kelly met up at Sugarbush where she was stranded when her car got stuck in a ditch in a massive blizzard. Matt instantly wanted to help when Kelly arrived at the house in a panic in her nursing scrubs. He’s a sucker for a woman in scrubs. They didn’t see each other the rest of the weekend after the attempted rescue of the unknown nurse. Friends added Kelly to a group chat that Matt was also on. It wasn’t until Kelly and Matt met again at a group outing a few months later when Kelly was strutting around in her boot from a broken ankle. They both instantly bonded over the fact they were dating other people and neither felt like the right fit. Fast forward another few months and Matt, via the group chat, knew Kelly was going to be at Pier 6 and decided it was his time to stalk Kelly. Agressive move. Kelly was with her girlfiends and turned around and saw him. He drove his mega yacht Yakatoongi, thinking that was a sure bet to win Kelly over. He acted surprised to see her, but really had this all planned. Kelly introduced “Browny” to her girlfriends and chatted for a while, later learning his name was Matt. He told Kelly he wanted to take her out after finding out that Kelly had ended it with her current fling. Kelly exclaimed, “Why don’t you end your situation before talking to me?” Later that afternoon, he broke it off with the woman and the rest is history. They went out that Tuesday on his boat and then to Block Island for the 4th of July, Kelly’s favorite holiday. From that weekend on, they were inseparable and still can’t get enough of each other.
