Book your reservation at least 30 days in advance via Open Table. Only open for dinner starting at 4:30 and one of our favorite restaurants with stunning views. If you have trouble making a reservation, reach out to Karon/Mom as she has a connection.
Really fabulous upscale Mexican food. You must book here 30 to 60 days in advance and you can sometimes show up and sit at the bar.
This is a gorgeous upscale resort near the house. The restaurant is Cress on Oak Creek. Go for breakfast, lunch, happy hour or dinner. You'll need a reservation or just show up and have a cocktail on the deck overlooking the creek!
In the Hillside Shopping Center just up the hill from the house. Great food and gorgeous views. You have to call to make a reservation. Their website reservation never works. They have a great happy hour at the bar but get there right before 5:00 to get a seat.
Great breakfast! Usually open for lunch and dinner as well. I don't think they take reservations. First come first serve.
Beautiful upscale shopping. Lots of southwestern art along with some touristy things as well. Oak Grill Brewery upstairs is a great place to grab a beer and a quick lunch. Get your name on the list before you start shopping!
Great views of the red rocks from the deck that overhangs the creek. Good pizza, salad and basic Italian. Again, best to make a reservation a few days in advance if possible.
Good breakfast and lunch spot.
No atmosphere but you don't need a reservation and the food is good. In the Village of Oak Creek.
Great Italian and the meatballs in porcini cream sauce are to die for! Again - make reservations in advance. In the Village of Oak Creek so depending where you stay - allow for traffic.
Great Italian. They don't take reservations but it gets packed and you have to wait in line. Opens at 4:30 so go early to get a table.
Great BBQ in the Village of Oak Creek. No reservations required and order the 'wet brisket'.
We use them all the time. Right now they have a 20% off coupon online (or when you book) but only until October 1st. You can rent a two seater Can-Am or a four seater Can-Am for four hours. With 4 people, you will spend roughly $100 per hour. Broken Arrow Trail is a must and Outlaw is one of our favorites.
We like Broken Arrow and the Seven Sacred Pools in Boynton Canyon. Book in advance!
Another option to Pink Jeep.
One of my favorite hikes especially if it is hot out. You drive up beautiful Oak Creek Canyon. There is parking at the Trailhead (but they charge per vehicle and it is limited) so go early or later in the afternoon. It is an easy hike. Wear water sandals or hiking shoes suited for water. You'll hike through the creek shaded by the canyons!
This is a nice moderate trail with great views. But there is no shade so go early if it is warm.
Super popular but always crowded.
Another easy hike close to the Arabella. Great views and never crowded.
Another popular trail but parking can be tough. Plan ahead.
A popular site for tourist!
Depending upon the length of your stay, Jerome is a fun day trip. It is approximately an hour from Sedona and is a popular tourist spot. Go online and book a tour to get the most out of your day in Jerome. The Mine Museum explores Jerome's history as a booming copper-mining town. Jerome State Historic Park is home to Douglas Mansion, built in 1916 by a mining magnate. Nearby, Audrey Headframe Park has a glass viewing platform over a 1918 mine shaft. Art galleries and small wineries dot the downtown area. Have lunch or dinner at the Asylum Restaurant in the Jerome Grand Hotel or fabulous BBQ at Bobby D's.
One of the higher rated wineries in the area. Open from 11 am to 6 pm but not every day of the week so make sure to check their website.
Another winery in a lovely setting. There are several wineries in the area so check them out.
Might be fun!
THIS IS A MUST if it is warm out and you are the adventurous type! It is a natural rock slide in Oak Creek. There is parking. Take a picnic and a towel for the short hike. Wear water sandals or tennis shoes and brace yourself! So fun!
Gorgeous gold resort. It is public course but make your reservation in advance.
This is an all day event. You drive to Williams and hop on the train to just outside the Grand Canyon. It includes the bus to the canyon for a 3 hour stay. Check out the website and book in advance.
I haven't done it but I hear it is fun. You hop on the train in Cottonwood. Check out the website for more info.
Close to the Arabella and the house, they have everything you need for hiking if you are not equipped. They also have maps and advice depending upon your skill set and stamina!
Very popular place for those coming to Sedona for spiritual enlightenment.
Huge delicious sandwiches on homemade bread reasonably priced. You should definitely share and a great place to grab a sandwich on the go.
Good local brewery with good sandwiches near the main drag.
