The River Market
A vibrant and historic neighborhood along the Missouri River. A 5-minute drive from wedding venue! Our first apartment together was in the River Market. We love this neighborhood! So many things to do: eat, drink, shop, walk along the river walk! During the summers, they offer a great farmers market to check out! Ask us for recs, if you have any questions!
Power and Light District
Right in the heart of downtown KC, this district is a 6 minute walk from our wedding venue! It is packed with restaurants, bars, music venues, and nightlife. It’s a great place to grab dinner, catch live entertainment, or enjoy an evening out in a lively city setting.
Country Club Plaza
The Plaza is about a 12 minute drive from Hotel Kansas City. This is an outdoor shopping and dining district with Spanish-inspired architecture, fountains, boutiques, galleries, and a wide range of restaurants and cafés.
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
A KC staple! Daniela used to live across the street from the Nelson when she first moved to Kansas City and one of our favorite date night picks was to have picnics on their lawn. Not only do they have an incredible art selection and free admission to enter, but they also offer a variety of activities in the summer like art sculpture mini-golf, yoga on the lawn and an outdoor movie series!
Boulevard Brewing Company
A must-visit for beer lovers! Boulevard Brewing Company is the largest specialty brewer in the Midwest. Boulevard offers a variety of brewery tours and tastings for those interested or just hangout in the Beer Hall where you can enjoy over 30 taps and good views.
