Our wedding is located in University Place. University Place is a neighboring city to Tacoma, WA which is another major city south of Seattle. Tacoma to Seattle is about 20-25 miles away. Whether you’re a Seattle first timer or not- Here are some beautiful classic Seattle areas to visit below. Check out our remodeled waterfront! It’s worth the exploration!
Seattle's iconic needle! The Space Needle offers several attractions and activities. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views from the observation deck, including the revolving glass floor at the Loupe Lounge. Additionally, there are interactive exhibits, a cafe, and a wine bar. In addition, near the Space Needle, you can explore attractions like the Chihuly Garden and Glass, the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP), the Seattle Center Armory, and the International Fountain
Newly renovated, the waterfront is a long boardwalk span of numerous piers. Various activities, restaurants, and local shops. Enjoy any time of the day but I must say, Seattle sunsets are breathtaking with the stunning sight of Mt. Rainier and 360 view of the city! Skyscrapers meets water (Puget Sound). *heart eyes!!!* Pier 57 is where the Ferris wheel is located. Pier 66 is walkable to/from Pike Place Market.
Not exactly Seattle.. but! If you have time or want to get away from the city for a day trip, Bainbridge Island is a beautiful scenic 30 minute ferry ride to/from Seattle. Dock the Seattle Waterfront on Pier 52 as a walk-on passenger or with a car. However, a car is not needed especially if you want to get steps in! Short walk to the quaint town with various local restaurants, bakeries, shops and more! Some of our favorites: - Proper Fish - fish n' chips, seafood eatery - HI Life - poke, Japanese hot food. This is located at the Bainbridge terminal - we like to head to the terminal a little early and grab poke to eat while we wait or during the ferry ride back to Seattle! - Bruciato - Neapolitan-style pizza & many more!
