Question

What is a Filipino money dance?

Answer

The Filipino money dance, or Sayaw ng Pera, is a heartwarming wedding tradition symbolizing community support, well wishes, and good fortune for the newlyweds. While taking turns, guests pin any cash onto the couple's clothing then individually dance (or with a small group) with the bride or groom. This is an extra and festive way for family and friends to offer blessings for their new life together!

Question

Will there be open bar?

Answer

Open bar will be offered during cocktail hour and during the reception. The bar will transition to cash bar towards the end of the night.

Question

How far is Tacoma to Seattle?

Answer

Tacoma is another major city south of Seattle. It is just about 25-30 miles away from Seattle. There is also plenty of things to do around Tacoma!

Question

What’s the weather like?

Answer

Summer in Washington is a hidden gem! Temperatures typically range from the low to mid 80s Fahrenheit. Be sure to check the local forecast and pack accordingly to ensure your comfort. While we Seattle locals might find this warm-hot (definitely for Mere), our Jamaican loved ones will appreciate the ideal weather. Our wedding venue along the Puget Sound brings refreshing nighttime breezes, so we recommend bringing a sweatshirt or light jacket. We can't wait for you to experience the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
