Question

A whole Wedding Weekend, did I read that right?

Answer

Yes! A weekend with all of our closest friends and family, gathered in one place, celebrating together over the course of 3 days and 2 nights. We've all waited a long time for this wedding and couldn't imagine having to pack it into one single day, so we decided to make it a fun-filled winter weekend getaway for everyone to enjoy! Please plan on arriving to Leavenworth on Friday to give yourself some "wiggle room" in the unfortunate case the pass closes due to weather Friday night or Saturday morning. We recommend getting into town no later than Friday afternoon, so that you can make it over the mountains safely with daylight to spare. And trust us, you do not want to miss out on any of the weekend's events!

Question

Are kids included in our RSVP?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, this is an adult only affair. There is a single exception to this for the immediate family, of whom attendees are 13+ years old. Thanks for understanding! Picture this: you start the morning off with Bailey's in your coffee, take an afternoon dip in the hot tub with your buddies, all-the-while enjoying some Fireball to keep you warm while you stand around the roaring outdoor fire pits to end the day. Please enjoy a weekend away to enjoy yourselves!

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Getting to Leavenworth: We 100% recommend traveling over Hwy-2 in 4WD/ AWD vehicles, as there may be snow and ice on the pass. If Hwy-2 closes due to snow, please take I-90. If you'd rather not stress about driving over the potentially snowy pass, we invite you to look into traveling via greyhound bus or amtrak train. For folks flying into Seatac, who won't be renting a 4WD car, we recommend Wenatchee Valley Charters. If you are planning to travel the pass via bus or train, please also reserve local taxi transportation to get you to the venue through Leavenworth Shuttle (there are no ubers or lyfts in the area). More info on the Travel tab of the website. Getting around town: The County plows as needed all winter around Mountain Springs Lodge and the state plows all highways. Remember the State requires you carry chains when traveling the passes and it's a good idea to be prepared for sudden harsh winter weather. We always recommend visiting the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) website for up to date traffic, and pass conditions before you travel.

Question

What does lodging look like?

Answer

Our venue, Mountain Springs Lodge has 6 lodges, with 3 of them fitting for large groups. While we would love for everyone to stay with us on the property, there is limited availability for the lodges. We have reserved all of the lodging for a few of our closest friends and family for Friday and Saturday night and these folks who have onsite lodging have been notified. Specific rooms will be assigned upon arrival. For those of you that do not have onsite lodging, please reach out to us directly, as we get closer to the wedding date if you're interested in staying onsite, as we may have a few extra rooms available. Additional nearby lodging options can be found on the Travel tab.

Question

Is the wedding in Leavenworth or Plain?

Answer

Technically, both. Mountain Springs Lodge has a Leavenworth address and is located in the unincorporated town of Plain which is about 15 miles away from downtown Leavenworth. While the wedding weekend won't be downtown Leavenworth, we invite you to show up early on Friday to explore and venture down on Saturday before the wedding festivities begin. Fun fact: the Leavenworth address and postal code stretches long and far - all the way up to Stevens pass.

Question

What's the plan for Friday night?

Answer

For on-site guests, check-in begins at 4pm. After check-in feel free to settle into your rooms, wander around the venue grounds in the snow, take a dip in the hot tub, or drive into town for a bite to eat. If you're feeling like staying in, each of the lodges have a full kitchen so you are more than welcome to bring groceries and cook up something in the comfort of your own cabin. Otherwise, we've included a few recommendations of our favorite restaurants on the travel tab of the website. Tessa & Kaleb will be enjoying a close-friends and immediate-family rehearsal dinner from 5-7pm. Then, we'll see everyone at 7:30pm for a welcome drink at the Ponderosa Lodge, onsite at Mountain Springs Lodge.

Question

I'm staying onsite, what time is Check-in and Check-out at Mountain Springs Lodge?

Answer

Check in begins at 4pm on Friday. Check out is at 11am on Sunday.

Question

What amenities does the venue offer?

Answer

We have the entire venue property rented out for the entire weekend and each lodge has its own private hot tub. Please join us Friday night through Sunday morning for nighttime s'mores, stories around the campfire, drinks in the lodges, shared snacks, and memories that will last a lifetime. We'll have a few goodies for you upon arrival, but please plan to bring whatever snacks and drinks you'd like to enjoy and share with your cabin-mates for the weekend!

Question

Any recommendations for Saturday morning?

Answer

Of course! Saturday morning, the day is yours to explore the area! Our venue offers sleigh rides and snowmobile tours if you're looking for some adventure, otherwise, feel free to spend the morning in downtown Leavenworth, or cross-country skiing in the town of Plain. Check out our "Things To Do" section of the site for more details and recommendations. The ceremony and reception will be held Saturday evening, beginning around 4pm so please give yourself ample time to get ready for the big night ahead.

Question

Are we really skiing on Sunday?

Answer

Heck. Yes. We're going to take over the mountain, all dressed up and closing out the wedding weekend with a bang! We'll have our photographers with us at Stevens Pass to complete an adventure photoshoot with all of us and our guests shredding down the mountain.

Question

What if I don't ski or snowboard?

Answer

We still want you to come spend our Sunday ski day with us at Stevens Pass! It's our favorite place to be together and we would love to share it with you. Whether you decide to rent some gear and take a lesson (highly recommended), or tag along and hang out with us in the lodge for some apre-ski beers, please show up and enjoy our final send-off event of the weekend with the newest Mr & Mrs.

Question

What are your colors/ what should I wear?

Answer

We're so glad you asked! While we're not sticking to specific wedding colors, we're inspired by the natural beauty of the season. Think of the serene greens of evergreen trees, the calming blues of a winter's sky, and the various shades of cedar and walnut that you'll see on the trees around you. We can't wait to celebrate this magical weekend with you, surrounded by the elegance of nature and the warmth of your presence.

Question

What should I wear for a winter wedding?

Answer

For our winter wedding, think about cozy layers, rich textures, and earthy tones that complement the snowy landscape. We want you to feel comfortable and stylish as we celebrate our special day in this beautiful, natural setting. Gentlemen might consider tailored suits in darker hues or even stylish, warm tweed. Ladies, you can embrace elegant dresses or separates with winter-friendly fabrics like velvet or wool, and don't forget to accessorize with warm shawls, furs, or wraps. As we'll be in a mountain setting, consider footwear suitable for uneven terrain, like sturdy boots or stylish winter-friendly options. While not mandatory, we encourage you to embrace the cozy and winter mountain chic vibe of our special day. We kindly ask that you avoid wearing white, as it's reserved for the bride. Instead, feel free to embrace the enchanting palette of winter's charm and add a touch of your personal style. After the ceremony, the remainder of the night will be inside, so layers will be key. We can't wait to share this unforgettable experience with you!
