Travel + Lodging

The Wedding Website of Taylor Anderson and Sonja Berger
**We strongly recommend looking into places to stay as soon as you read this.** Summer is a busy time in this part of Utah, and while there are options for where to stay we don't want you to have to travel farther than you want on the night of the wedding. Getting to Utah is easy. SLC airport is about an hour west of the venue/the Heber Valley. Keep in touch closer to June if you need a ride over the mountain, but a car rental might be easiest.

Hotel

Zermatt Utah

784 W Resort Drive
Midway, UT 84049
 (866) 937-6288

NOTE: Midway is a resort town and Zermatt will likely fill up for this weekend. If you decide to stay here, book as soon as you can. Zermatt Resort is pretty sweet. It's Swiss themed (the town of Midway was settled by the Swiss), and has restaurants, bakery, steakhouse, tennis courts, indoor/outdoor pool and hot tubs, etc. It's about five minutes from Soldier Hollow, and there will likely be a shuttle from Zermatt on Saturday night.

Hotel

Homestead Resort

700 North Homestead Drive
Midway, UT 84049
 (435) 654-1102

DISCOUNT: For a special rate on lodging, call in to reservations at 435.654.1102 and tell them you're booking a room for the Anderson/Berger wedding. This is another cool resort that's across the street from Zermatt. It's a full-service resort with restaurants and the like, plus a golf course on-site and volcanic craters with warm springs you can swim in.

House Or Rental

Midway Vacation Properties

840 Bigler Lane
Midway, UT 84049
 (435) 654-5456

DISCOUNT: Use Wedding Code #TAYSON at checkout for a 20% discount on lodging. Like a local Airbnb. We don't have personal experience with them, but they seem nice and have 1–5 bedroom houses, villas and condos for rent (if you book before they're gone).

Hotel

Soldier Hollow Campground

Soldier Hollow Lane/Olympic Drive
Midway, UT

—FREE FOR YOU— This is your premier free place to stay. We rented a campground that's walking distance from the venue and big enough for 150 people plus seven or eight RVs with full hookups. There are bathrooms, showers, a covered pavilion with tables and other camp-like amenities on-site. We'll ask on RSVPs for a headcount of how many people are interested in this option. You'd be responsible for tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, etc. (We have a few tents if anyone is interested and needs one). If there's enough interest, we'll slightly jazz up the place with better mirrors so you can get ready and look pretty.

Hotel

Best Western Plus Heber Valley Hotel

U.S. 40
Heber City, UT 84032
 (435) 657-6500

This hotel is the same distance from the venue as Zermatt. As of mid-March, we're still looking into potential discounts for guests and will post here when we find out.

Hotel

Invited Inn Bed & Breakfast

Homestead Drive
Midway, UT 84049
 (435) 654-7075

A bed and breakfast with about seven suites in Midway, just up the road from Zermatt Resort. (As of mid-March, we're still looking into potential discounts or promos to pass onto guests. Stay tuned.)

Hotel

Wintergreen at midway

800 Lime Canyon Road
Midway, UT 84049
 (801) 756-2536

Again, don't know a ton about this one. But give it a look or call them and see if they've got something you like.

House Or Rental

River's Edge at Deer Park

7000 Old Highway 40
Heber City, UT 84032
 (888) 754-4049

There are little cabins here you can rent for groups of 2–4 people, plus dogs. Never stayed, but the reviews look pretty good.

Hotel

Swiss Alps Inn

167 South Main Street
Heber City, UT 84032
 (435) 654-0722

Another Swiss-themed option in Heber, about equidistant to Zermatt and the venue.
