Flight

Island of Hawaiʻi

Our wedding is on the Island of Hawaii, also known as The Big Island. The nearest airport is the Kona International Airport. For guests traveling internationally: Consider booking a flight to Honolulu first with your best airline, then booking a separate domestic flight with a U.S. airline from Honolulu to the Kona International Airport, Big Island. These flights run frequently and take around 45 minutes. For guests traveling from the U.S. or Europe: If you're coming from the West Coast (e.g. Los Angeles or San Francisco), there are direct flights to the Big Island. If you're traveling from the East Coast or Europe, the best route will likely be to connect through a major West Coast hub like LAX or SFO. We know it’s a bit of a journey, and we’re so grateful you're making the effort to celebrate with us. If you have any questions or need help with travel planning, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Hotel

Fairmont Orchid

We will be staying at/near Fairmont Orchid for the period of Wednesday, May 13th to Monday May 18th. For those who'd like to stay at Fairmont Orchid, you can use the code 2U8BHM for ~40% off at https://www.fairmontorchid.com. There are also several hotels within a 15-minute drive such as The Hilton, and a number of villas available on Vrbo, which can often be a better deal than hotels if you're traveling with a group.

Rental Car

Getting Around the Island

Ride Sharing Uber and Lyft are available at and around Fairmont Orchid and in nearby areas like Waikoloa and Kona. They’re generally reliable for short trips - like heading to dinner, nearby resorts, or the airport. However, wait times may be longer than in big cities, especially during off-peak hours. Car Rentals If you’re planning to explore more of the island or want maximum flexibility, renting a car is your best bet. Public Transport is limited.
