Charles Tansey

Father of the Groom

A man, a myth, a legend, Charles Tansey. When not running his newest creation, The Sakonnet River Company, Charles enjoys rowing on the Naragansett Bay, quoting Shakespeare, and snacking heavily on charcuterie boards. A great father, and good friend. Excellent conversationalist (ask him about the New Bedford Whaling Museum).

Bill Burnett

Father of the Bride

Christine Tansey

Mother of the Groom

A deeply kind and thoughtful woman, Christine Tansey introduced Chris to reading, hiking and spirituality at an early age. She enjoys reading, Downtown Abbey, and Ingrid Bergman movies. Great listener (she asks good questions).

Greg Smith

Best Man

Close friends since freshman year of college. Greg has been a thoughtful advisor, partner in crime and someone who embraces the absurdity and beauty of life. Favorite activities together include: pulling pranks, laughing maniacally, creating new dance moves.

Caleb Tansey

Groomsman

Vivacious, powerful, introspective. He loves having a good time, is quick to forgive and is loyal. All important attributes for a groomsman. Chris's only sibling, Caleb has an excellent sense of humor. Chris is lucky to have him.

Connor May

Groomsman

Chris and Connor first met on the Crow Reservation in Montana but became close friends while living together in a dark, dank basement in Brighton. Connor brings passion, generosity and a great sense of humor to our friendship and beyond. Over the past five years, Chris and Connor have shared crazy adventures, deep talks about faith and a lot of "yes da [dude]"'s.

Osa Okoh

Groomsman

Osa and Chris first became friends during their master's program at Boston College. Osa has been a kind, funny and terrific friend over the past few years. Both educators, they continue to share absurd stories about their students over free Dominos and Sam Adams.

Jake Fahey

Groomsman

Chris and Jake became close friends while serving on the Crow Reservation in Montana. Both were members of the 2014-2015 Montana JVC community. Over the past six years, Jake and Chris have explored America by going on long road trips and hiking treacherous trails, all the while searching for deeper truths. A great man.
