IN REGARDS TO TRANSPORTATION:
Because the East Bay of Rhode Island is relatively spread out, your hotel may be of some distance from the welcome party (Newport) or the wedding venue (Portsmouth). Unfortunately, there will not be a shuttle. With that being said, here are the best options for getting around RI on July 30th- August 1st:
#1 Bring your own car and carpool to events! One person will have to DD.
#2 Rent a car and carpool to events! Again, one person will need to DD.
#3 Uber or Lyft. It may be difficult at times to actually get an Uber or a Lyft. With COVID, there have been shortages of both types of rideshares.
#4 Taxi. Old school but underrated. You can call ahead and get a taxi and be assured of getting a ride. Important note: make sure to call an HOUR AHEAD- summer in RI is crazy. A few RI taxi services:
