This is one of our favorite restaurants in the city- they are cash only, and you must make a reservation. We love the Fire Roasted Eggplant, Pasta Limone, and all of their pizzas! If you make a reservation for Friday, you might see us there ;) (If you can't get in, try Frank or Supper, they are owned by the same family)
Our absolute FAVORITE pizza restaurant in the city. They don't take reservations but the line moves quickly. You'll want to get a carafe of wine, and we love the sasso and the boom pie. You won't be disappointed!
Simply the best- bring cash. The original is on Avenue A so either location are great- and worth the long lines.

Boulton and Watt has a great brunch and is very close to SixtyLES. The french toast is outrageous and they have moderately priced brunch cocktails. A great place to start the day on Saturday!
Washington Square Park is a great place for a quick walk, people watching, and enjoying a coffee or lunch and the fall foliage. It's the heartbeat of NYU and there's always a lot going on. Different areas of the park offer views of the Freedom Tower and the Empire State Building, and you'll recognize the famous arch and fountain near the north entrance from countless movie and TV shows. You may even end up sitting on the bench where we shared our first kiss (after debating whether we were both being covid safe enough and questioning who was in each other's "quarantine bubble")
This may seem like an obvious one, but Central Park should be absolutely beautiful in November. It's easily accessible from most subway lines, and you could spend hours exploring. We spent a lot of time at the 307th Infantry Regiment Memorial Grove the summer we started dating and the whole park holds a sentimental place in our hearts. Sheep's Meadow is also a great place to enjoy lunch and people watch if the weather is warm enough- just don't stay too late or you'll have to hop the fence to get out...not speaking from experience of course ;)
If the weather is nice- the Highline is a nice walking park along the west side of Manhattan that is about a 30 minute walk and has rotating art installations along the way. We'd recommend starting on the north end, and walking south which will land you in the Meatpacking District.
One World Trade center has a lot to offer- the observatory is a great experience if the weather is clear and offers a little bit of history and details on how the building was constructed. There's a bar at the top where you can grab a drink as well. If you want something more in depth the 9/11 memorial museum is also a very special and emotional experience. Walking around the fountains is free and also very moving. Please note that Friday, November 11th is Veteran's day so be sure to purchase tickets ahead of time for anything you plan on doing and be aware of potential road closures.
The Whitney is a beautiful museum with rotating exhibits- check out what will be there during your visit and get tickets ahead of time
HELLO SHOPPING! 5th Avenue is your spot if you're planning on doing any shopping or want to bring back a designer item from your trip. Soho also has great shopping and there's rotating pop-ups where you might discover something new.
