Sarah M. Sveen
Maid of Honor
Sarah is the bride's cousin and best friend of more than two and a half decades. It's hard to pick favorite memories because the two have so many. But if Emma had to choose, she would say that some of her favorites are childhood games in their Far Far's sprawling backyard, summers at Svebo (especially pølse med lompe at the end of long hikes), Emma visiting Sarah at Hobart William Smith, and Sarah helping Emma search for apartments before her move to Atlanta. Emma is so excited to have Sarah as her maid of honor after many years of knowing she would be! Sarah is currently in dental school at BU and living in Boston with her sister Mia and her kitty, Lola.
Jacob J. Flannery
Best Man
Jacob is Nick's older brother and oldest friend! Some of Nick's favorite memories with Jacob include countless hours spent playing video games, watching/talking/ playing baseball non-stop while growing up, and most importantly, doing hysterical impressions of everyone in the family. Nick is thrilled to have his older brother, who he's always looked up to, celebrating as his Best Man on this special day. Jacob currently lives in Dayton, Ohio and works as a professional visual artist.
Gabrielle M. Buchbinder

Gabrielle was the first person Emma met on the first day of their MBA orientation at Emory's Goizueta Business School. They became fast friends, grabbing lunch together on that first day, and almost every day there after. Some of Emma's favorite memories with Gabrielle were playing tennis throughout the pandemic, raising spoiled dogs together and their beautiful trip to Austria and Switzerland. Gabrielle currently lives outside Atlanta in her new home in Roswell, Georgia with her sweet cavapoo Lily, and works as a consultant for Deloitte.
Daniel L. Perez

Dan is the first friend Nick ever met at school and has been one of his best friends for almost 25 years! Nick's favorite memories with Dan include all the valuable memories playing football together, watching Dan eat the "Nasty Dog" before getting sick at school, and the hilarious college road trips we took. Dan is an extremely loyal friend and Nick is so excited to have him as a groomsman! Dan currently lives in Dayton, Ohio with his wife Holli (another one of Nick's oldest friends) and their little corgi, Gerald, where Dan also works as a probation officer.
Mia R. Sveen
Bridesmaid
Mia is also the bride's cousin and the little sister of Sarah. Again, it's difficult to summarize a lifetime of memories, but some of Emma's favorites include more hikes and summers in Norway, Mia allowing Emma to do her hair and nails despite Emma's inability to do them well, Mia's impeccable charades abilities and Mia's two visits to NYC while Emma was living there before law school. Mia graduated from Colgate University in May 2023, and subsequently moved to Boston for a pre-med position at a hospital down there, living with her sister Sarah and their cat Lola.
Zachary H. Mastrich
Groomsman
Zach ("The Gibbon") Mastrich is one of Nick's best friends. Nick and Zach both attended the College of Wooster, but ironically did not become close friends until they both attended Virginia Tech for graduate school. Nick's favorite memories with Zach include many nights out at Hokie House, Zach's awesome annual Halloween parties, and playing NHL video games together late into the night. Zach is a data scientist living in Washington, D.C. with his girlfriend (and fellow VT grad), Vivian.
Isabel C. Ward

Isabel and Emma met at St. Pius X Catholic High School in Atlanta where they both were coaching the girls lacrosse program. They quickly realized they were kindred spirits when they bonded over margaritas. Some of Emma's favorite memories with Isabel are playdates with their pups, coaching, wine nights, Isabel's first time skiing and the very bizarre night when they discovered that Isabel's uncle took Emma's mom to the homecoming dance in high school. Isabel currently lives with her puppy, Lucy, on the Beltline in Atlanta, and works as a trauma nurse at Atlanta's leading trauma center at Grady Hospital. Fun fact! A couple years after Isabel and Emma had been close friends, we discovered that not only did Isabel's uncles go to high school with Emma's mom, but that one of Isabel's uncles took Emma's mom to the homecoming dance! What a small world, right?!
Adam J. Coppock

Adam was Nick's first roommate and teammate at the College of Wooster and among his very closest friends. Nick's favorite memories with Adam include playing football together at the Wooster, singing karaoke together at Market Grill, and having a blast visiting each other's hometowns during our college days. Adam is an incredibly smart and caring person, and Nick is very fortunate to have such a great friend! Adam lives in Leetonia, Ohio with his wife Erin and their two beautiful kids, Beau and Adelynn. Adam works as a financial advisor for Prudential.
Brooke T. Kremer
Bridesmaid
Brooke and Emma also met while coaching girls lacrosse at St. Pius, and quickly became an inseparable coaching duo, leading the JV team to two consecutive winning seasons together. Some of Emma's favorite memories with Brooke include coaching together, wine nights, endless phone calls, Blue Apron meals during the pandemic and the beautiful engagement photos Brooke shot for Nick and Emma. Brooke currently lives in Atlanta with her husband Dan and puppy Sadie (with the occasional visits from her two beautiful kiddos, Patrick and Katherine), and works as a sales executive at a medical/diagnostics device company.
Brian J. Beall
Groomsman
Brian and Nick became really close friends playing high school football together at Chaminade Julienne and grew up living just down the street from one another in Dayton. Nick's favorite memories with Brian include visiting each other in college at Wooster and Miami of Ohio, respectively, hanging out at local Dayton watering hole, The Shroyer Inn, and the many hours spent watching/discussing their beloved Columbus Blue Jackets together. Brian is a devoted friend with a great sense of humor, and Nick is thrilled to celebrate this big day with Brian by his side. Brian is a commissioned officer in the United States Navy and by the time of the wedding will be living in Rhode Island with his wife, Caitlin, and daughter, Taylor.
Tess A. Edenholm

Tess and Emma met in Spanish 101 at their alma mater, Wesleyan University, and bonded quickly over their shared Scandinavian heritage and Senora's condescending glares when they would walk in ten minutes late (with a fresh coffee) to their 9 am class every morning. Tess and Emma proceeded to live together in New York City after graduating from college, while they were both working pre-law school paralegal jobs. Emma's favorite memories with Tess include kayaking in the ocean in Zihuatanejo, eating and skiing our way through the Italian Alps, re-watching our cringe-worthy Spanish project videos and all of the college and NYC shenanigans they got into over the years. Tess currently lives in Brooklyn, New York and, after graduating from Fordham University School of Law in May of 2023, is currently working for a law firm no more than 2 blocks from Emma and Nick's apartment!
Derek A. Burns

Derek and Nick met during Nick's first year of graduate school and quickly became best friends and, later, roommates. Being a little ahead in the Ph.D. program, Derek was a great mentor for Nick as he learned how to navigate the new environment at Virginia Tech. Derek has always filled the role of the "responsible one" in their friend group, and both Nick and Emma are indebted to Derek for being reason that Nick, among many other friends, have survived so many parties and nights out unscathed. Some of Nick's favorite memories with Derek include hosting parties at their house at Virginia Tech, planning elaborate bar crawls, and their trips to Nashville and Morgantown, West Virginia. Derek works with Nick as a statistician at State Farm and currently lives in Atlanta (just 3 floors below Nick and Emma!) but by the time of the wedding will be living in South Bend, Indiana with his girlfriend, Karen.
Catherine C. Ellis

Catherine and Emma first met when their moms forced them to have a playdate in 4th grade when Emma's family first moved to Colorado. Despite their less than smooth start, Catherine and Emma became fast friends before high school. Among the many memories they share, some of Emma's favorites are club and high school lacrosse together, touring colleges and lacrosse camps, Broncos games, endless country concerts and all of the other teenage shenanigans they got into. Catherine currently lives in Denver, Colorado with her wonderful roommate, Catie, and (at the time this website was launched) recently started a new job at Omaha Productions, which has her travelling back and forth from LA and NYC.
Gunnar K. E. Sveen
Groomsman
Gunnar is the bride's younger brother who quickly befriended Nick when Emma and Nick began dating and Gunnar visited Atlanta for their first Thanksgiving together. Nick's favorite memories with Gunnar include Gunnar teaching Nick to ski (still in progress!), watching NFL games and chatting about fantasy football, and trying great beers and burgers with Gunnar and his friends during Nick's initial visits to New York City. Gunnar is great brother to Emma and protective of his sister - so Nick is very happy and honored to have him also serving as a groomsman! Gunnar currently lives in New York City, where he works in private equity as a VP for Hunter Point Capital (the youngest VP in firm history!)
Caroline S. Case

Caroline and Emma met on their first day of 6th grade at Kent Denver and solidified their relationship both on and off the lacrosse field - both at school and their club team, Team 180. Emma has many favorite memories with Caroline, including high school and club lacrosse, Broncos games, country concerts in the summer, school dances and, again, a whole bunch of teenage shenanigans. Caroline currently lives in Manhattan Beach, California with her wonderful husband Mason, and works as a manager for a Californian healthcare provider.
Sander E. M. Sveen
Groomsman
Sander is the bride's youngest brother and quickly befriended Nick early into his relationship with Emma. Nick's favorite memories with Sander include exploring Bourbon Street in New Orleans, debating the Wooster/Denison football rivalry (back when Sander played football for Denison) and celebrating New Year's Eve on the beach during a family vacation in Florida. By the time of the wedding, Sander will be finishing up his junior year in the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he is a member of the Chi Psi fraternity and majoring in marketing and entrepreneurship. By the time of the wedding, Sander will have just finished a once-in-a-lifetime semester abroad in Prague and preparing for a summer internship in restaurant management.
Mia Lindbäck

Emma met Mia while living in Oslo and the two became fast friends while they were teammates on the HioA Queens lacrosse team. Some of Emma's favorite memories with Mia include crazy evenings out in Oslo, Mia helping Emma with her Norwegian homework, competing together in the Norwegian National semi-finals in Kristiansand and championships in Oslo and when Mia and Maria (below) came to visit Emma in NYC all the way from Norway. Mia currently lives in Oslo, Norway with her wonderful boyfriend Nico, and works in business development at Norway's largest bank, DnB.
Jefferson D. Salan

Jeff and Nick became close friends while living together at Virginia Tech and while they were both students in the graduate psychology program. Jeff has an infectious sense of humor and is perhaps Nick's most amusing friend. Some of Nick's favorite memories with Jeff include annual trips to the Bonnaroo music festival in Tennessee, going to NHL games together (of course, rooting for the Panthers and the Blue Jackets, respectively), and general shenanigans while they were roommates. Jeff currently lives in Blacksburg, Virginia (where Virginia Tech is located) with his wonderful girlfriend, Diana, and shortly after the wedding, the two will be relocating to Helena, Montana, where Jeff will become a cowboy!
Erica M. Mitchell

Erica is Emma's cousin and the two have remained close since they have both lived in Atlanta the last several years. Emma has incredibly fond memories from growing up with Erica, including pranking our parents and putting on shows during childhood trips together, boating with Erica's dad in Florida, nights out in Atlanta and (Emma’s new favorite tradition) weekly family dinners/game nights with Nick and Jon. Erica currently works in orthopedic medical device sales and lives in the Cabbagetown neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia with her wonderful boyfriend, Jon, and their two kitties, Ozzy and Blue.
Devin M. Carter

Nick and Devin became good friends during their time together at Virginia Tech. Nick's favorite memories with Devin include endless hours spent playing Super Mario's Smash Brothers, debating fantasy football, and countless adventures around Virginia Tech. Devin currently lives in Long Island, New York with his wife Emma, their son Kellen and their two pups, Grover and Watson. Nick has loved having Devin close by since both moved to New York, and the two have already enjoyed many football Sundays together out in Long Island!
Maria Wanvik Hole

Emma also met Maria while living in Oslo and playing lacrosse for the HioA Queens, and Emma was quickly drawn to Maria's gentle and nurturing demeanor as a friend. Some of Emma's favorite memories with Maria include running straight to Maria and giving her a huge hug first thing after their team won the Norwegian national semi-finals in Kristiansand, Mia (above) and Maria's trip to NYC and all of our shenanigans in Oslo. Maria currently lives in Trondheim (a city in northern Norway) where she works as a project manager at 6AM, a company geared towards helping startups scale their business.
Peter D. Skrobot

Peter and Nick became friends early in life as youngsters at Holy Angels elementary and stayed close friends into adulthood. Nick's favorite memories with Peter include his high school awesome parties in Peter's basement, visiting Peter at Ohio University during college, and going to NFL games together. Peter and his wife Madie were just married in October, where Nick had the honor of being a groomsman for Peter in return. The two currently live in Cleveland, Ohio with their sweet dog, Maverick (Mav).
Caitlin E. Murlin

Caitlin is the groom's sister and a wonderful auntie to the couple's pug, Bean. Emma and Caitlin first met over FaceTime in the pandemic and in person shortly there after during Emma's first trip to Nick's native Dayton, Ohio. Among Emma's favorite memories with Caitlin are this past Christmas when Nick, Emma and Bean got to stay with Caitlin and her husband Terry and playing pickleball! Caitlin currently lives in Dayton, Ohio with her husband Terry and their three pups, Juno, Lily and Finn, and currently works in client management for a company that specializes in emotional intelligence assessments.
Zackary W. Moore

Zack and Nick met on their first day of football camp during their freshman year at the College of Wooster and became instant fiends. Nick's favorite memories with Zack include many hours spent goofing off/pranking with their roommates, Joe and Adam and bonding over their time on the College's football team. Zack and his wife, Emily are both doctors of audiology and Zack is a commissioned officer in the United States Army. By the time of the wedding, Zack and Emily will be living in South Korea with their son, Jackson.
Carolyn A. Mitchell

Carolyn is also a cousin of Emma's and the twin sister of Erica (above). Emma and Carolyn have been kindred spirits since they were little, and some of Emma's favorite memories include Carolyn's solo trip to Colorado as a child, middle school photoshoots in Niceville, resurfacing old photos together and all the other shenanigans that Carolyn, Erica and Emma got into over the years. Carolyn is always off on some sort of new nomadic adventure every time Emma hears from her - whether it's hiking or biking across the country, working as a ski instructor at Big Sky, or leading leadership development excursions in the mountains - but is currently based in Bozeman, Montana.

Joe and Nick befriended one another first as teammates on the College of Wooster's football team and later because roommates. Nick's favorite memories with Joe include nights out together at Wooster's bars, arguing over all things sports/video games, and hosting "movie night" with the guys. Joe currently lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with his fiancée (!) Christina.
Maja A. Nowak

Emma met Maja on the first day of their MBA orientation at Emory's Goizueta Business School, and the two first connected over the fact that Emma knew how to pronounced Maja's name. Emma shares many cherished memories with Maja, including long days and late nights working on class projects, double dates watching hockey and football, trips to Nashville and to Austria and Switzerland and sharing in the darling videos of Maja's nieces and nephews. Maja currently lives in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia with her wonderful (now!) husband, Dave, and kitten, Sutton, and has been working as a consultant for PwC since graduation from business school in 2021.
Benjamin Bradford DeVore

Brad and Nick met at Virginia Tech and quickly became great friends! Nick's favorite memories with Brad include chatting about life over happy hour beers, adventurous trips to Nashville, Columbus, and Norfolk, and running obstacle course races together. Brad is also a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy, and is currently stationed in San Diego, California, along with his wife, Jaclyn, and their new baby, Madelyn.
Lily G. Sveen
Junior Bridesmaid
Lily is Emma's cousin and the younger sister of Sarah and Mia (above), and Emma is just so thrilled that Lily will be standing by her side as a junior bridesmaid at her wedding! Some of Emma's favorite memories with Lily include fun times on Skaneateles Lake, doing each other's hair and nails, watching Lily crush the competition in our family Sveen-lympics and running lines together when Lily was recently cast as Miss Honey in her school performance of Matilda. Lily currently lives in Skaneateles, New York with her parents and their two dogs and two cats - Winnie, Daisy, Warner and Camille - and by the time of the wedding, will be finishing up the 8th grade!

George is the oldest son of Emma's "cousin" Lesley, and the older brother of the couple's flower girls, Willa and Boo (below). Nick first met George about 10 months into his relationship with Emma, and after a Jimmy Johns lunch and some games in the yard, Nick got their very important approval, and both Nick and Emma are so thrilled that George (and both of his sisters) are in their wedding party and that George will be standing up at the altar with them on their wedding day! George currently lives outside Annapolis in Severna Park, Maryland with his parents, two sisters and their black lab, Maddie. By the time of the wedding, George will be finishing up the 7th grade!
Peyton W. Barr
Officiant
Peyton and Emma met while they were both working as paralegals at Revlon in New York City. While Peyton at first wasn't totally sold on Emma and her “morning person” energy, she quickly wore him down over margaritas at Mad Dog & Beans on Stone Street. Some of Emma's favorite memories with Peyton include brutal late nights at the office preparing for board meetings (if you have to work late, it’s better to be in good company!), NYC movie nights and Russian dinners, many long phone calls over the years and exploring around the D.C. / Arlington area. Additionally, both Emma and Nick (and Bean!) cherish their memories from when Peyton has come to visit for weekends in Atlanta, including most recently for Peyton’s 30th birthday! Emma and Nick are both so honored and excited that Peyton will be marrying them. Peyton currently lives in Washington, D.C., where he has been working in national defense and government strategy consulting, with a personal training side hustle.
Bean
Ring Bearer
The most handsome face on this page! Bean (also known as Benito) is Nick and Emma's wonderful, goofy, totally loving, 3-year-old pug. Nick and Emma adopted Bean in October of 2021 (a few months after the death of Bean's big sister, Phoebe) from Sonares, Mexico, where Bean was found wandering in the desert by himself. Emma flew out to Tucson, Arizona to bring Bean home, and he has been the absolute light of Nick and Emma's lives ever since. Some of Bean's favorite activities include playing with friends at Fetch Dog Park, long walks with his Dad around the city, endless snuggles on the couch with his Mama and eating his "slop." Bean will be escorted by the bride's youngest cousin Peter - the best person for this job! - as he completes his duties as ring bearer.
Willa C. Bigden
Flower Girl
Willa is the middle daughter of Emma's "cousin" Lesley and the sister to both our Junior Groomsman and our other flower girl, Boo. Willa and Emma were born just one day (plus a couple years) apart, making them a few hours shy of being birthday twins! Willa currently lives outside Annapolis in Severna Park, Maryland with her parents, siblings and their sweet black lab, Maddie, and by the time of the wedding, Willa will be finishing up the fifth grade and gearing up for middle school!
Charlotte P. Bigden
Flower Girl
Charlotte (aka "Charley" / aka "Boo") is the youngest daughter of Emma's "cousin" Lesley, and the baby sister of both our Junior Groomsman, George, and our other Flower Girl, Willa. Emma fondly remembers living with in Severna Park the summer after Boo was born while she was interning in D.C., so it is hard to believe that by the time of the wedding, Boo will be finishing up the 2nd grade! Boo also lives outside Annapolis in Severna Park, Maryland with her parents, her older siblings and their black lab, Maddie.
Andrew J. Sveen

Drew is Emma's cousin and the oldest brother to all of our wonderful ushers. Drew grew up outside Boston in Dover, Massachusetts, graduated from Colgate University in 2022 and currently lives in New York City (along with his cousin Gunnar!) and works as a corporate finance and restructuring consultant. Emma and Nick are so thrilled to have all of the "Boston contingent" of the Sveen cousins in their wedding party!
John W. Sveen

John is one of Emma's cousins and a brother to the other four ushers. John also grew up in Dover, Massachusetts, but is currently attending Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, where he is a starting midfielder on the varsity men's lacrosse team. In fact, John will be graduating from Skidmore the week before the wedding, so if you see him at the wedding, be sure to congratulate him!! Emma and Nick are so thrilled to have all of the "Boston contingent" of the Sveen cousins in their wedding party!

Ethan is one of Emma's cousins and the twin brother of another one of our ushers, Luke. Ethan currently lives outside Boston in Dover, Massachusetts with his parents, two brothers and their sweet doodle, Roscoe. Like his twin brother, Ethan graduated from high school in May 2023, and is loving life as a high school graduate! Emma and Nick are so thrilled to have all of the "Boston contingent" of the Sveen cousins in their wedding party!

Luke is one of Emma's cousins and the twin brother of another one our ushers, Ethan. Luke currently lives outside Boston in Dover, Massachusetts with his parents, two brothers and their sweet doodle, Roscoe. Luke, like his twin brother, graduated from high school in May 2023, and by the time of the wedding, Luke will be finishing up his freshman year at Dartmouth College up in Hanover, New Hampshire. Peter is one of Emma's cousins and is the caboose brother of all of our other ushers. Peter lives outside Boston in Dover, Massachusetts with his parents, older brothers and their sweet doodle, Roscoe. By the time of the wedding, Peter will be finishing the 7th grade. Emma and Nick are so thrilled to have all of the "Boston contingent" of the Sveen cousins in their wedding party. In addition to being an usher, Peter will also be escorting the pug of the hour, Bean, as he completes his ring bearer duties.
