As the national museum for all of Canada, this is one of our favorite places to visit whenever we are in town!
Walk around the beautiful ByWard Market and explore the trinket shops, delicious restaurants, and fashion boutiques! Our favorites include buying some Obama cookies, eating a Beaver Tail, and taking pictures with the giant "Ottawa" sign.
Adjacent to the beautiful Rideau Canal, go explore the long stretch of locally-owned businesses. Our favorites include a bar that makes handmade pierogi, a bagel shop open 24/7, 365 days a year, Mrs. Tiddlywink's Toy Shop, and a grocery store that sell bags of milk!
There is no specific address for the Canal, but one of our favorite things to do is go on walks and explore nature. The Rideau is accompanied by flower gardens (Tulip Festival), bike trails, walking paths, and boat rentals for whatever leisure activity you and your loved ones are looking to do.
As one of our favorite restaurants in the whole city, this pub allows you to scroll through their "Beer Bible." The food is tasty, but the drink selection is impressive!
Hands down one of our favorite places to eat in Ottawa. They serve delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner and midnight snacks as they are a 24/7 restaurant. Perhaps you'll stop by after the wedding celebrations for a late-night milkshake and poutine!
If you are looking for an educational stop on your visit, Parliament Hill offers free tours to learn about the history and government of Canada! (You don't need to be a Canadian citizen to tour).
This art museum is stunning whether you are an art connoisseur or enjoy a good paint by number (like us). This is in walking distance to many restaurants and other sights around the city!
Colin just loves it here in general. You can probably ignore this one.............
A good percentage of our guests love traveling, flying planes, or spent years in school learning about planes. It seems fitting to add this to the page.
Come on, everyone loves IKEA.
Need a break in the A/C? Shop 'til you drop in the Rideau Centre! This mall is located in the heart of downtown Ottawa so parking and walking are easily accessible.
