San Miguel de Allende is a popular wedding destination and March is the height of the season! Most of the small hotels and Airbnb options fill up fast. We encourage everyone to book travel and accommodations as soon as possible. We are so happy to be celebrating with you!

Flight

BJX / QRO

You have two options: Del Bajío International Airport (BJX) in Leon or Querétaro Intercontinental Airport (QRO) in Querétaro. Both airports are about an hour and fifteen minutes away from San Miguel and are considered very safe and convenient for travelers. Shuttles, taxis, Uber and Lyft are available for travel to San Miguel de Allende.

Transportation from the airport

There are no direct flights into San Miguel de Allende. The Querétaro (QRO) and Leon (BJX) airports are both about a 90 minute drive from San Miguel de Allende (Leon is a bit further). There are many airport shuttles available for about $35 per person for a shared shuttle; or $130 for a private SUV or van (seats six). You can book online through companies like GO Airport Shuttle (goairportshuttle.com) and Bajiogo (bajiogo.com). Ride sharing services like Uber and Lyft are also available to take you to and from the airport. The last time we took a Lyft from San Miguel to the airport in Querétaro it cost us about $80.

This hotel will serve as base camp and is where guests will arrive to be transported to the ceremony. It is a nice hotel with an excellent breakfast buffet. We stayed here while we were planning the wedding and really enjoyed it! The hotel will offer an early bird discount, and then after that we will still have a group rate for you to utilize, should you choose to stay at this hotel. Shuttle

Transportation to Ceremony

March 14, 2020 3:00 pm - 2:00 am

Shuttles to the ceremony will begin to leave Hotel Real de Minas on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. The ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m. Shuttles will return guests to Hotel Real de Minas on the hour, after dinner. The ceremony will be held at Finca la Devociòn, just a short 15-20 minute ride from the city center. Finca la Devociòn Insurgentes 333, Atotonilco, Zona Centro, 37700 San Miguel de Allende, Gto., Mexico There is a small parking lot to accommodate those who choose to drive.

Although shuttle service to the ceremony will leave from Hotel Real de Minas, we encourage our guests to explore opportunities to stay in uniquely beautiful local hotels or in one of the incredible homes offered through platforms like Airbnb.
