Our welcome party will be a traditional Mexican wedding callejoneada! On Friday, March 13th at 5:00 p.m. meet us in the main plaza outside the Zocalo to dance through the streets of San Miguel, complete with live band and mojigangas! We will end the parade at a local restaurant to toast the weekend! We ask that guests wear casual white attire and comfortable shoes! Click the "View" button below to see some YouTube videos of sample callejoneadas!
This is a must-see for art lovers! What used to be a textile factory, today houses canvases, sculptures and artisan products of great artists who live in San Miguel. The Cultural Center of Art and Design, La Aurora is a maze of gallery spaces and a great place for a stroll.
$$ - $$$, Mexican, Latin, Bar This rooftop bar has the best view in the City. The architecture and design of this grand hotel are not to be missed. The bar doesn't take reservations for guests not staying at the hotel and it's standing room only come sunset. Get there early, because the view is what everyone pictures when they dream of San Miguel!
$$, Mexican Buffet This is the hotel we have been staying at on our recent trips. It is simple and affordable. But, even if you are not staying at the hotel, the breakfast buffet is a quick and delicious breakfast to start your day. Selections change daily and feature
$$$$, Bar, International, Contemporary Quince Restaurante and Cocteleria offers upscale international cuisine commonly accented with Mexican flavors. Quince's mixology menu was created and is served by award-winning mixologist from Mexico City. Quince has an in-house French bakery (Boulangerie Bleu) attached to the restaurant kitchen and also a wood-burning grill, which prepares more casual fare on its sunset terrace
$$ - $$$, Mexican, Latin, Vegetarian Friendly We ate here with our families on a trip to San Miguel. The beef was tender and juicy. The molcajetes (sometimes called "volcanoes") are a bubbling mix of salsa and meat. We loved it! We highly recommend this restaurant for a casual meal. However, they closed the location we went to in the city center. This is the new location which boasts a nice terrace overlooking the city.
