Taylor can easily drive her low-to-the-ground hybrid sedan out to the property. Parking will be located on neighboring properties near the venue. Signs and attendants will be present to help direct. Both will be outdoors. The ceremony will be open-air and the reception will include tents and space heaters to keep us warm when the sun sets. If fire restrictions are lifted, we will also be having a bonfire and s’mores.
We encourage you to dress “Mountain Chic”. And then you ask, what the heck is that? “Mountain Chic” is used to describe an classy event that is in the mountains with the ceremony/reception on the grass. (Think elegant, but comfortable.) For guys, think dark denim or khakis and shoes/boots with a nice button-up. For the ladies, consider a fancier summer dress with grass-friendly shoes (closed-toe shoes are best!). When the sun sets, the temperature drops so bring layers to stay comfortable. Tip: opt for closed-toed, block heels, flats, or boots instead of pointy heels. Pack a jacket for the cooler summer night!
This information will be available under the “Travel” webpage of this website. Some guests are already looking into renting Airbnb’s or renting a motor home to park on the Stephens’ property. We will post information about nearby cabins on neighboring properties or hotel blocks in the downtown area (~25 minutes away) as soon as it is available.
Yes! Children are invited. But, we completely understand if you want to ask the in-laws to babysit, so that you can party the night away with us. There will be a spot in your wedding invitation on your RSVP to indicate if you’re bringing your kids!
