Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP to all events by March 1, 2022

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We are planning several events on the Thursday and Friday before if you can make it to SMA early. See the schedule page for more details.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your invitation is addressed to you and your significant other, then you have a plus one! If it is only addressed to you, then unfortunately we cannot accommodate a plus one. We have capacity restrictions for all our events, and for better or worse we are at the very limit for all of them! We promise you are going to have fun no matter what.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Our wedding is adults only. We want Saturday night to be your time off! Our local wedding planner can arrange a reputable babysitter to make that a reality. Most high-end hotels also have nannies they work with regularly. Rates are around 250 pesos per hour. We will come back with more details if you want to book through our local wedding planner. For the other events - in particular the callejoneada and welcome party on the Friday night, kids are more than welcome.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Colorful cocktail with flair? Bohemian chic? Burning Man elegant? Look sharp, but also bring something fun, colorful or sparkly. Gents, it will be hot, so feel free to ditch the tie. Do bring something to keep you warm once the sun goes down. See the next question for when to wear heels :)

Question

Should I bring heels?

Answer

While San Miguel de Allende is beautiful, its cobblestone streets are pretty much impossible to walk on in heels. Seriously, Steph and her mom thought they'd be able to navigate the cobblestones with their heel expertise, but after one visit to San Miguel de Allende realized this was not achievable. Therefore, for the wedding march on Friday or any travel around town, we recommend flats or boots (a wide heel here would work). For Saturday, the venue is heels friendly, and you could probably teeter there if you are careful in heels but there is plenty of space to stash your flats once you arrive and change. For the Friday callejoneda march through the cobble-stoned city streets, flats are a must!

Question

What is #sloppyeyeballkisses

Answer

So that we can all share our photos together on social media, we're using the hashtag #sloppyeyeballkisses. Add the hashtag #sloppyeyeballkisses when you post any photos on instagram and when you search for #sloppyeyeballkisses, all our shared photos will show up! Where does it come from? Read the story on our home page :)

Question

How do I get to San Miguel de Allende from the airport

Answer

There are a range of car rental, private taxi & group shuttle options from all three airports, all of which are between 1-3.5hrs drive away. See the Travel & Accommodations page for more info.

Question

How do I get around San Miguel de Allende

Answer

While San Miguel de Allende is a very walkable town, there are also plenty of cabs and ubers when needed. But honestly, you're not going to need one. You can get anywhere in less than 15 minutes.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We encourage everyone to book accommodation in the center of town, which should put you max 10min walking distance to the venue. If you need, uber & local taxis are an option, but do plan extra time given the narrow streets.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We will have dairy-free, vegetarian and pescatarian options. If you have anything more restrictive, please do let us know in advance.

Question

What COVID measures will be taken?

Answer

We are hoping that by May 2022, the world will be in a much better place. Mexico is well on its way to a high rate of vaccination by then. Having said that, we do ask that all our guests be fully vaccinated and encourage you to get tested prior to travel. We will update this page with more detailed recommendations & links to testing venues here in San Miguel de Allende closer to the time.

Question

Will there be any skiing?

Answer

Sadly not - this was vetoed by Steph and it doesn’t really snow in San Miguel de Allende :( there will be Mezcal and a tequila donkey instead

For all the days along the way
