How We Met

November 29, 2019

Skiing, of course! It was the day after Thanksgiving, and we met on our first lift of the day through a mutual friend. Rob had taken Steph's spot the year before in her old ski lease, and (unbeknownst to her) had matched with her on Hinge right before they met in person. It took us a while to decide to make it official, but that fateful day occurred the evening before Shelter in Place was announced. We spent the next three plus months living together in Tahoe, and the rest is history.

What Are Sloppy Eyeball Kisses?

What began as a misplaced kiss quickly became a staple of our relationship. Rob's kiss aim frequently missed and landed directly on Steph's eyeball, slobber and all. This became such a frequent occurrence that it turned into a source of comfort and love for Steph. Now, Rob purposefully gives Steph sloppy eyeball kisses when she is happy, when she needs support, or when he just wants to be silly. We love them (and there is no other clever hashtag), so #sloppyeyeballkisses felt like the best way to represent us and our love.
