Honorary Maid of Honor
Due to new circumstances life sometimes throws at us Chelsea will be unable to attend our wedding. Regardless, I wanted to include her here to thank her for the support, help, and love she endlessly offers us not only in planning this wedding but in all the little things, every day. Chelsea and I met in 2009 while working together at Houston's restaurant in Boston. While working through long days and late nights at this busy, upscale restaurant we quickly discovered how similar we are and became the closest of friends. Since then, we have been friends through multiple cross-country, and cross-continental moves, many job changes and from girlfriends to weddings and she is now the proud mother of two beautiful, one-year old twins, Dahlia and Sebastian. She is the best friend a girl could ask for and I am so lucky and happy to have had her help for this incredible event!
Best Person
What can I say about Roxane? She's been by my side from the day I was born. Roxane always made sure that she would be my best person early on, even sneaking me out of my bassenette and taking me to sit on the bed with her, scaring our mother to death. She's always given me good advice, always steared me the right way and protected me when she could. Growing up we didnt fight or argue we just loved and took care of each other and that’s why I am so honored that she is my best person.
Groomsman
I met Kirt in 1988 in Perry, Georgia right before he was going to marry my sister, Roxane. As an introduction, Roxane invited me to meet Kirt over 5lbs of boiled peanuts and a case of beer. Left alone with a quiet afternoon for us to get to know one another, I learned, not only did Kirt deeply love my sister, but he loved something else dear to my hear, cribbage. Over the years I have had the pleasure to know Kirt to be a great brother-in-law, a wonderful husband, a loving father and now, an awesome grandfather. I am so proud to have him on my team.
Groomsman and Bridesman
Dan is simply the best! I am so fortunate to have a brother as steadfast as Dan and grateful to have grown up, not only with a great brother but with a great friend. The first time Dan and Clayton met I knew it would only take one beer or less before they'd be fast friends too. It has been my privilege to get to watch him achieve many of his life goals like becoming a paramedic/firefighter and now an airplane pilot as well and I can't wait for what is next on his list. Although our first wedding was lovely, it really wasn't a wedding without my brother there and we are both so happy to have his help and support as part of our wedding party in Spain.
Bridesmaid
Upon meeting my brother's girlfriend Heidi, it was clear she would be a wonderful addition and we instantly loved her. We are so happy to have her as a bridesmaid for our ceremony. She is so cool! She's calm under pressure evidenced by her work as a nurse in the ER and her adventurous skydiving hobby. She is crafty, creative and we know she'll help address anything our day throws at us. Above all, she's caring. Also, great at growing plants, another thing we love about her! All these wonderful qualities make up a wonderful person and we are so glad she'll be celebrating our love alongside us, just as we love celebrating the relationship she shares with Dan.
Bridesmaid
She is my bestie from the Westie! Anna and I met at Trader Joe's in Clackamas, Oregon in 2016. From the small beginnings of a work relationship to morning coffee dates we have grown to become great friends. She is creative, artistic, adventurous, and very genuine. We share a common love of plants and their cultivation as well as the endearing classic cartoons of our childhoods. Soon after coffee dates we began attending community yoga classes, jogging together and going on window shopping walks around her hometown of Porland. Since moving back to the Pacific Northwest, we have been enjoying monthly Spanish speaking brunches with Anna and her partner in crime, our other most favorite amigo, Jason Norman. We love our time with them both and now, I couldn't be happier to have Anna's support as a bridesmaid. In fact, without her help I could never have found my "meant-to-be" wedding dress! Thank you, Anna!
Photographer
Mim is an incredibly talented, Boston based photographer and dear friend of ours who took wonderful photos of our small elopement in February 2021. Clayton worked closely with her at the Brookline, Trader Joe's in Boston and we couldn't be happier that she will be such an important part of our Barcelona wedding. She will be documenting all week sharing her creativity and skills in a myriad of different photographic styles. Her work can be found at www.mimonroseway.com.
DJ
Although Joe isn't able to be at our event in person, he is there as our longtime friend and professional DJ. Thank you, Joe, for editing and fine-tuning all of our music for the wedding. We both met Kazuba while working at Trader Joe's on Memorial drive in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2013. He's not only a great guy but he's funny and one of the most incredible musicians we know. While working at Trader Joe's, he pursued his passion as the owner of a thriving DJ and event business, Fine Tune Entertainment. We couldn't be more appreciative for his help and guidance to make our soundscape an invaluable detail for the wedding of our dreams. If you are ever in need of an outstanding professional musician and DJ you can find him at www.finetunedj.com.
