"More than a Ketchup Museum" this museum is named after Senator John Heinz a descendant of the family who founded Heinz. This history museum includes local and national history exhibits as well as Mr. Roger's neighborhood, the set of a popular children's show, and a giant Ketchup bottle made of smaller Ketchup bottles.
This is a fun place for food and drink. It has the Pittsburgh classic restaurant, Primanti Bros, where you can get you Pittsburgh-style sandwich (they put the fries in the sandwich). There are also several breweries in this area. Nate and I visited here with his best man, Andrew, in 2021.

Take a red rail car up the incline to the observation deck at Mt. Washington. According to Pittsburgh's tourism website, USA Today Weekend Magazine called it one of the "10 most beautiful views in America". This might be a stretch but it is pretty.
They offer 1 hour family-fun cruise on a pirate ship around Pittsburgh's three rivers throughout the afternoon on most days. It costs $25 for ages 12 and over, $12 for ages 3-12, and is free for ages under 3 with discounts for seniors and military. We have not tried this, but the website says "You’ll have the chance to fire the water cannons, duel with fellow passengers, and to party like a pirate!" Could be fun?
