Yes! We are very excited to include this unique Pittsburgh wedding tradition!
Pittsburgh is home to a unique wedding tradition, the Pittsburgh cookie table. The cookies for the Pittsburgh cookie table are homemade by friends and family. These serve as a special wedding dessert made with love with plenty left over for guests to take with them at the end of the night. Some cookie tables can be very extensive, with the world record of 88,425 cookies on a Pittsburgh cookie table! We are not planning on even approaching that many cookies, but we are excited to include this Pittsburgh tradition in our wedding celebration. We invite you, our close friends and family, to help us embrace the cookie table tradition by providing cookies or simply enjoying the homemade cookies at the wedding. The cookie table is set up in advance of the wedding, so if you would like to add cookies to the table you should contact Kaitlyn’s aunt, Lynette Gerstel, to arrange for your cookies to be collected the Thursday before the wedding or earlier. Feel free to reach out to her at (412)780-0394 or lynettegerstel@yahoo.com

We encourage our guests to find lodging to fit their needs and budget, thus we do not have a wedding hotel block reserved anywhere. The wedding ceremony and reception are in the North Shore area of Pittsburgh and there are many hotels near by. Some options are for big name brand hotels are: The SpringHill Suites by Marriot Pittsburgh North Shore, Residence Inn by Marriot Pittsburgh North Shore, Hyatt Place Pittsburgh-North Shore. There is also the Priory Hotel, which is more of a Bed and Breakfast style. Traffic on the bridges can be unpredictable so if you stay across a river from North Shore, please budget plenty of time to get to the venue.
