Flight
The easiest way to reach Oaxaca is via a direct flight on American Airlines from several major hubs in the USA. There are also numerous connecting flights through Mexico City to Oaxaca City daily.
Travel Note
There is no Uber or Lyft in Oaxaca, but no worries! When exiting customs, you will note a Taxi Cab stand on your right hand side (it will be the last booth after all the car rental companies). This booth will allow you to catch a shared taxi van or a private taxi to your desired location. You can pay the attendant with a credit card at the kiosk, so you will not need pesos immediately upon arrival. We have used this service on all of our visits. It is safe, reliable, and very convenient. You do not need to book or reserve a car in advance as there is always one available.
Travel Note
Oaxaca is known for its hospitality and there are many great hotels and Airbnb's to choose from. We recommend you stay in the City Centro area were most of our venues, great restaurants, and fun bars are all within walking distance. We have provided some recommendations below of hotels we have toured and liked! Pro tip: get a group of family or friends and book one of the large luxurious Airbnb's in the area! Some of them come with house attendants and options to hire a chef service.
Hotel
This is our preferred hotel for our celebration! Our Welcome Party will be hosted at this location on Thursday evening. We absolutely love Hotel Sin Nombre. The vibes are immaculate, the people are warm, and the food and drinks are swoon worthy. Please email reservas@hotelsinnombre.com for our group rate. Mention that you are staying there for our wedding and they will set you up with a reservation. HSN is a little spicy, a little dreamy, and a lot Oaxaca. We hope you love it as much as we do. **Please note that the hotel will NOT be available to book online because it has been blocked off for our guests. Email is the only way to book.

Hotel
Hotel con Corazón is not your average hotel. This hotel invests a portion of all stays to educating Oaxacan youth. The hotel operates as sustainable as possible and promote responsible travel. This is also a great budget friendly option, especially if you are seeking a travelers vibe!
Hotel
Quinta Real Oaxaca is a stunning hotel set in a beautifully preserved 16th-century convent, offering colonial charm with the amenities of a larger hotel, including a pool, gym, concierge, and 24-hour room service. Located in the heart of Oaxaca, it’s perfect for a luxurious stay, just steps from historic sites, museums, and vibrant local culture.
Travel Note
If you plan to extend your travels, we love Mexico City and would recommend a few extra days before or after the wedding– especially if you are flying through! Puerto Escondido is another great option if you're wanting a beach trip. Keep in mind there are limited small flights and they do book out relatively quickly. There is also an easy new bus route from Oaxaca City to Puerto Escondido that takes 2-hours. The possibilities are endless!
