Shelby and Simon met at ballet but didn't talk to each other for a very long time. Then they kind of started flirting. Then they started hiking. Then BAM, they were dating.

Sim took Shelby to Vancouver to celebrate her birthday and their third anniversary. Shelby was pretty sure that he had zero plans to propose to her because he didn't seem to have anything planned for the weekend, and was acting very quiet and weird the whole time. While they were on a hike in Lynn Valley, Sim suggested they wander off the path to the river through a tunnel of trees and shrubs. He acted very nervous for about fifteen minutes before getting down on one knee (in the river, actually) and proposed!
