Cancun Airport

Cancun International Airport is about 1 hour away from Playa del Carmen. There are several options to get from the airport to Playa, including public bus, shuttle, or hired car. The public bus (the cheapest option) leaves from the airport and drops you at the bus station in Playa (I've taken it a couple of times and had no issues). There are several shuttle services that you can hire in advance as well.

Mahekal Beach Resort

This is where we are staying, right in the heart of Playa del Carmen. It is also where the shuttle to the venue will pick up and drop off guests. We'd love to have you stay here but no pressure! There are plenty of options nearby. The hotel block we reserved is Room Only (if it appears to be more than what's on the main site it's because fees + taxes are included but it is a bit less than the regular rate)! There are options to upgrade to all inclusive however, due to the central location of the resort and vast amount of local cuisine nearby, we find it unnecessary. For a more "Resorty" all inclusive experience, we recommend booking the alternative resorts listed below 😀

This hotel is only a 10-min drive away from the ceremony and reception venue, but you'd be on your own for getting back and forth. There are plenty of taxi options if you don't want to be tied to the shuttle schedule.
