Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort
This is where our Ceremony and Reception will take place, the same resort where your room accommodations are! Sleeping Lady (www.sleepinglady.com) has enough rooms to accommodate for our entire guest list! Use the link below to reserve your room style of choice. Please note that most of the rooms in the block are available Friday and Saturday night only - if you are staying longer than those dates and don't see availability with the block please call the hotel direct or contact us. If you have any booking issues or questions, please feel free to reach out to Sleeping Lady or directly to us. If you prefer to call vs use the link- please call 800.574.2123 and identify yourself as attending the Wisse- Doughman Wedding. A credit card with an expiration date will guarantee the reservation at that time. Additional notes: Individual guestroom cancellations are allowed up to 48 hours before the arrival date with no penalty. Cancellation after that time will result in forfeiture of one night’s stay plus tax, which is the deposit. Rooms will be held in the block for reservations until Wednesday, July 8, 2026. Any rooms remaining in the block after this date will be released for general sale on a first-come, first-served basis.

Driving here:
There are two beautiful and distinct routes from the Seattle area to Leavenworth, WA. Both will take you through the stunning Cascade Mountains, so choose the one that best suits your style! 🏔️ Option 1: The Scenic Route (US Highway 2 / Stevens Pass) This is the classic, most scenic route that takes you directly over the mountains. It's a gorgeous drive through dense forests, along rivers, and over Stevens Pass. Approximate Distance 120 - 130 miles Estimated Driving Time 2.5 - 3 hours Key Highlights: Stevens Pass, Skykomish River, small towns like Index and Gold Bar. Heads Up: This is primarily a two-lane road once past Monroe and can be slower with traffic, especially on weekends or holidays. Directions From Seattle/Bellevue: Take I-5 North or I-405 North to US Highway 2 East (via Exit 23 if on I-405, following signs for Wenatchee). Follow US-2 East past Monroe. Continue on US-2 East over Stevens Pass. After the pass, you'll descend into the eastern foothills. US-2 leads you directly into the Bavarian village of Leavenworth. 🚗 Option 2: The Interstate Route (I-90 to US-97 / Snoqualmie & Blewett Passes) This route uses the main east-west Interstate before cutting north, often favored for being slightly faster and more reliable Approximate Distance: 135 - 140 miles Estimated Driving Time; 2 hours 15 minutes - 2 hours 45 minutes Key Highlights; Snoqualmie Pass, Cle Elum area, and the high-desert views over Blewett Pass. Heads Up: This route involves crossing two mountain passes (Snoqualmie and Blewett). While often quicker, you'll still need to check road conditions for both. Directions From Seattle/Bellevue: Take I-90 East over Snoqualmie Pass. Continue past Cle Elum. Take Exit 85 for WA-970 E (following signs for Wenatchee/US-97). WA-970 E will merge into US-97 North. Follow US-97 North over Blewett Pass. Turn Left onto US Highway 2 West toward Leavenworth (just past Peshastin). Follow US-2 West for approximately 5 miles, and you will arrive in Leavenworth.

The most comfortable and scenic from SeaTac (SEA) to Leavenworth: SEA Airport → (Link light rail) → King Street Station → Leavenworth (Icicle Station) • Link light rail is frequent from SeaTac/Airport Station, every 8-10 minutes. • Amtrak’s Empire Builder serves Leavenworth (Icicle Station, LWA). • Typical daily times: depart Seattle 4:55p → arrive Leavenworth 8:17p, and depart Leavenworth 7:18a → arrive Seattle 11:29a. • For the short “last mile” from Icicle Station to Sleeping Lady Resort, consider Leavenworth Shuttle & Taxi, Uber, or Lyft. Why it’s great: super relaxing, predictable, and you don’t have to time highway traffic—just make the one daily departure work.

SeaTac Airport Shuttle
The most direct option from SeaTac (SEA) to Leavenworth: Wenatchee Valley Shuttle + quick local ride into Leavenworth SEA → Peshastin (Big Y Park & Ride) → Leavenworth • Wenatchee Valley Shuttle runs 7 days/week and serves SeaTac (reservations required). • You catch it at SeaTac in the airport’s “bus only” zone (see website for pickup details). • Their reservation flow explicitly notes Peshastin Big Y Park & Ride and that you should arrange a pickup onward into Leavenworth (e.g., Leavenworth Shuttle & Taxi, Uber, or Lyft). Why it’s great for your trip: it’s the only option that’s truly “airport-first” without you schlepping into downtown Seattle. Schedule note for Aug 2026: their posted schedules are seasonal and may change; what you’ll do is match your flight times to the closest published SEA departure once their summer schedule is posted. Return: Same idea in reverse—Peshastin → SeaTac on a timed shuttle block.
