Things To Do & Places to Eat At

The Wedding Website of Shane Greytak and Cortney Mace
Many of our guests are arriving a few days before the festivities begin so we have put together some recommendations of things to do and places to eat at! The Eastern Sierras will be our future home and we are excited for our friends and family to experience it as well!
South Tufa Area

South Tufa Area

CA 93541

Many people don't know about South Tufa on Mono Lake. It's a beautiful scenic walk that will make you feel like your'e on another planet.

June Lake Loop

June Lake Loop

California 158, CA

June Lake loop is about a 16 mile drive with multiple lakes, shops and restaurants to stop at and explore. Highly recommend if you have never been to the area before!

Travertine Hot Springs

Travertine Hot Springs

Bridgeport, CA 93517

Travertine has different levels of hot springs you can walk down to. Looking out from a hot spring, you'll see amazing views of Bridgeport. You may also see some naked butts. Bring some cold beers and enjoy the hot pools.

Lundy Canyon Trail Head

Lundy Canyon Trail Head

Lundy Lake Road, Bridgeport, CA 93517

Just up the road from the wedding, Lundy Canyon Trail has beaver ponds, rushing creeks, and waterfalls. A relatively short hike (4-5 miles round trip). Both Shane and Cort love this trail and highly recommend it!

Bodie State Historic Park

Bodie State Historic Park

California 270, Bridgeport, CA 93517

Bodie State Historic Park is a genuine California gold-mining ghost town. Visitors can walk down the deserted streets of a town that once had around 2,000 structures and a population of roughly 8,000 people. Only a small part of the town survives, preserved in a state of "arrested decay." Interiors remain as they were left and stocked with goods.

Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park

51340 US-395, Lee Vining, CA 93541

In order to get to Yosemite from Lee Vining you have to take The Tioga Pass. The Tioga Pass is located in Lee Vining and its about 13 miles to the gate of Yosemite, and 62 miles from Yosemite Valley. If you don't want to go into the Park you can do a variety of hikes and sight seeing on The Tioga Pass, its just as beautiful and most of the time has less people.

Food: Mono Inn

Food: Mono Inn

55620 U.S. 395, Lee Vining, CA 93541

If your'e looking for a high end, fine dinning experience check out the historical Mono Inn. They have craft cocktails, a full wine and beer list, and a menu that is constantly changing with the seasons. Make sure you make a reservation because they book out far in advance.

Food: Whoa Nellie Deli

Food: Whoa Nellie Deli

22 Vista Point Drive, Lee Vining, CA 93541

The Mobil is located right before Lee Vining. It's a gas station with a deli and convenient store inside. Random. But a great place to refill and refuel. Oh and margaritas to go!

Food: Growlers Eatery

Food: Growlers Eatery

241 Main Street, Bridgeport, CA 93517

A favorite of Cort and Shane's. Real BQQ, Big Meadow Brewery inside, and located on the main highway in Bridgeport where you can walk around and check out the town.
