Chad is a Ohio native. Lauren has lived in 7 states and 10 different cities. Chad is a Special Education teacher and longtime coach of Special Olympics. Lauren is a Child Psychologist and Research Scientist specializing in autism spectrum disorder. Their jobs brought them to Cincinnati. Bumble (dating app) brought them together. After a memorable first date (exciting, nerve wrecking, fun, awkward), they both made an out-of-character next move. Chad invited Lauren to a friend’s wedding reception (post-dinner) as their second date. Lauren accepted and made it there within an hour after landing in Cincy after a trip back to CT to see her nephew. Somewhere between the dance floor and an epic pinball match at one of their favorite bars later that night, both had a feeling this was the real deal. Fast forward 18 months (to the date!) and a rescue dog named “Bruce” later, Chad proposed to Lauren on March 3, 2019 and through some laughs and tears, Lauren quickly said “Yes!”. They couldn’t be happier to spend the rest of their lives together, but first they want to celebrate their love with their family and friends.
