What time should I arrive at The Cabin?

Answer

Please arrive no earlier than 30mins prior to the ceremony start. When you arrive, you will be directed on where to park and then free to explore the property.

What events are optional?

Answer

We would love to spend as much time with you as possible and show you a bit of what Up North means to us. That is why we have planned optional events for Friday and Sunday. If you are in town for the duration of the weekend, we would love for you to join us in all the weekend's festivities. If we only get you Saturday, we will be sure to make it count!

Can we swim in the lake?

Answer

Of course! Pickerel Lake is a very clean and very deep lake. This means it stays quite chilly. If you would like a refreshing swim after dancing, feel free to take a dip! Please bring your own towel if you are able.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We LOVE food and want you to love it too! If you have a dietary requirement, please share it in your RSVP. This way we can ensure that you are able to fully enjoy dinner and dessert.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your presence means the world to us and that is gift enough. We also understand that gift giving is a strong love language and appreciate a thoughtful gift as well. If you would like to purchase a wedding gift, please see our Registry tab on this website. There are a variety of items we have meticulously picked out knowing they will be frequently used in our home and bring us great joy. If you had something specific in mind that isn't in our registry, please reach out to us!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

We are going to assume that you can check the weather app yourself, but do want to share that this will be an all outdoor event, mostly in a sandy lawn. We are hoping for a classic September day of 70 and sunny. In case of rain, we will have a shelter but it will largely still be exposed to the outside. Please dress accordingly and maybe have an umbrella on-hand.

What is there to do in Northern Michigan before or after the event?
