A bit out of the way of the hotels and events planned...but so worth a venture. This Mediterranean restaurant is a small cozy place with food that will knock your socks off. Sarah and her best friend Lauren discovered this place back in 2020, and we haven't found anything to compare. We go for the wine tastings and stay for the homemade pita, dips and dishes that leave us speechless. So good that we even got Tara on board.

An underground market filled with stalls selling various specialty foods and drinks. A great place to check out if staying Downtown. A recommendation: Pierogi Boys

Waterfront Food Market (Brooklyn Bridge Park): Time Out Market

55 Water Street, Dumbo, NY 11201

This market rotates some of the most famous eateries in the city. Made to model Chelsea Market, these are some of the most sought-after stalls in Brooklyn. Connected to Brooklyn Bridge Park by a walking trail, enjoy the waterfront views along with plenty of local shopping.

Great Pizza Stop (DINE IN): Paulie Gee's

60 Greenpoint Avenue, Greenpoint, NY 11222

A great view of both Manhattan and Brooklyn! Start on the Brooklyn side (begins at the intersection of Tillary Street and Boerum Place or access the pedestrian walkway via the staircase located in the underpass on Washington Street/Cadman Plaza East and Prospect Street) or on the Manhattan side (outside of City Hall). The Brooklyn side starts in DUMBO, which is an idealic neighborhood on the water with plenty of shops and places to grab a bite. If on the Manhattan side, head over to Eataly, the 9/11 memorial, Seaport Shopping District and the Occulus for some more sight seeing.

It is one of the best views of the Manhattan skyline. Full bar as well. There is over a mile of park to walk and see the water-line in the famous park before or after your stop at the pier!

Central Williamsburg Brewery: Brooklyn Brewery

Staten Island Ferry (Statue of Liberty)

Staten Island Ferry, Staten Island, NY

If the Statue of Liberty is a must see on your list: some of the better views come from hopping on the FREE Staten Island Ferry and sitting on the R side of the boat. Once in Staten Island, some choose to walk around the mall outside the ferry or simply take the return boat back to Manhattan. Either way, a great way to get a look. Ferry Schedule is attached.

Waterfront Park: Domino Park

A great view of the Manhattan skyline that is a bit closer to our venue and suggested hotels. A great place to explore, there are typically various art installations and activities taking place. The park features a water-front walking trail as well as local art installations. Stop at the taco stand if you get hungry!

Neighborhood/Family Staple Eatery: Mekelburg's (Williamsburg Location)

Located inside an eclectic grocery shop, this hole-in-the-wall features fabulous comfort food and a full bar. Governors Island (Ferry Recomendations Below)

This is a great escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Take the ferry to a refurbished army barrack where they have turned over a new leaf to features food trucks, events, walking/biking trails, bars, and one of the best views of the statue of liberty. We recommend taking the ferry from Brooklyn Bridge Pier 6 or South St Ferry. Round trip is $4. Top items on your list may be to sample the food trucks that compete to be on the island, take in the skyline from Island Oyster (their seafood bar and restaurant), take a tandem bike around the island or even bring a snack and spread out on the grass in front of the statue of liberty.
