Travel Note
Starting May 7, 2025, if you're flying domestically—within the United States—you must show a REAL ID at airport security. For international air travel, you must have a valid passport book. It’s the only document accepted to leave the country and return to the U.S. by plane.
Travel Note
According to travel advisors, the ideal time to book your flight is about four months before your trip. For the best fares, try to travel on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays, which tend to be the cheapest days to fly!
Flight
The most convenient airport to fly into is the Naples International Airport (NAP). An alternative route would be to fly into Rome (FCO) and ride the train from Fiumicino Aeroporto station to Napoli Central Station. These high-speed trains allow for a trip under two hours and are relaxing and most importantly, affordable.
Flight
Naples International Airport is located about an hour from Ravello, making it a much closer option than Rome. While it’s certainly more convenient in terms of distance, it can be more difficult to find direct flights to NAP. But if you don’t mind a layover, it is a great option! Once in Naples, getting to Ravello is simple—there are plenty of shuttle services, car transfers, and taxis available to take you directly there. The following U.S. airports have direct flights to Naples: Philadelphia Los Angeles Dallas Austin Miami New York Chicago San Diego
Flight
Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) is another option used to reach the Amalfi Coast, offering numerous direct flight options. If you're arriving at FCO, there will be a bit of additional travel involved—though don’t worry, we will walk you through the steps. Below, we’ve outlined all the details to help make your trip as seamless as possible. These U.S. airports offer direct flights to Rome: Atlanta Boston Charlotte Chicago Dallas Washington Dulles (D.C.) Los Angeles Miami New York City Newark Philadelphia
Travel Note
There is a budget-friendly option for getting to Ravello using a combination of shuttle and train (see details below). Alternatively, you can take a direct shuttle bus from Rome Airport to Ravello, which typically costs around €90–€100 per person. Recommended transfer services are listed below. If you're interested in arriving a few days early to explore Positano—a must-see destination about an hour from Ravello—you can also take the "Positano Shuttle" directly from Rome.
Train
Welcome to Roma Termini Station! Your next step is to catch a high-speed train to Naples Centrale, the main train station in Naples. This journey is not only quick and easy but also scenic and comfortable. Covering about 140 miles, many high-speed trains make the trip in as little as 1 hour and 10 minutes. Ticket prices typically range from $15 to $77 USD, depending on the time and class of service. Italy’s high-speed trains offer modern amenities including air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and power outlets at each seat. There’s also a café car onboard, along with food carts that serve snacks, sandwiches, and drinks right to your seat. And yes — every train car has its own restroom! Trains from Rome to Naples depart frequently, with two to three departures per hour and an average of 96 trains running daily. The first Trenitalia train leaves Roma Termini at 5:31 a.m., and the last one departs at 11:58 p.m.
Travel Note
It's important to note that taxis and other means of transportation via rental car, shuttle, limo, etc, can only take you so far into Ravello since the town is mainly a walking area. So keep this in mind when booking your accommodations, you will most likely be walking partially uphill on cobblestone streets to reach our venue, Villa Eva.
