Alex and Raph met on their first day of high school. Alex was putting pen to paper busting out rhymes with a gold chain, and Raph had his head in the clouds chasing philosophy. After these two met they were literally inseparable. They have laughed and cried together, seen each other at their worst and at their best. They coached each other through their formative years. They defined bromance before it was popular, and most importantly, they acted as the litmus test for any possible romantic relationships - and it was Alex who introduced Raph to Sarah. If you're excited about this wedding, and the love that we are celebrating, then you have Alex to thank. Alex is caring, loving, funny, smart and chock full of fun facts - make sure to ask him for one.
Melissa Woodward
Maid of Honor
Sarah and Melissa grew up in the same town and have been best friends since (roughly) 2008. They didn't cross paths until high school - a rare occurrence in their small town - but once they did, they were practically inseparable, playing tennis together, going on weekend hikes with their dogs, and not paying attention in English classes (sorry Ms. Mo). Since their high school days, they've been roommates in NYC, backpacked Southeast Asia, seen Hamilton on Broadway (thanks, Raphael!) and so much more. They share too many amazing memories to possibly choose a favorite. Melissa is fiercely caring, brilliant, and calm - she will no doubt be Sarah's rock on the big day as the best Maid of Honor EVER!
Luke Sorcio
Groomsman
Luke is Raph's younger and only sibling. Fortunately, Raph prevented his parents from naming Luke "lucca" citing the importance of taking the opportunity to honor Luke Skywalker. Raph and Luke grew up with each other in the east village in Manhattan and then in Carroll Gardens in Brooklyn. Luke has always been cooler than Raph but Raph has learned to accept it. If you want to talk sports, Luke is your guy, you may catch him checking out the stats of his and Raph's fantasy team on the big day.
Nicole Dawson
Bridesmaid
Nicole is the middle sister of the Dawson girls and was therefore Sarah's very first best friend from the moment she was born. They overlapped for one very special year of high school and were total Gleeks, bonding over their shared experiences in theater and choir. They were roommates in NYC for two and a half years and absolutely love having one another in the big city. Nicole is the most loyal, caring, wonderful sister and friend, and the funniest person Sarah knows. She's also an incredible screenwriter - so expect her speech to be creative and one of a kind!
Mat Lee
Groomsman
Mat and Raph met working on a commercial together in NYC. Mat approached Raph after work, struck up a conversation about fantasy football, and told him not to be so serious in the office (Mat was assisting Raph at the time) and the rest, as they say, is history. Mat has traveled the world and convinced Raph to backpack southeast Asia. Mat has bridged together so many groups of friends globally with his contagious smile and sincere pursuit of joy at all times for all people. He is smart, charming and literally the life of the party. If you like to have fun, this is who you want to be around.
Hannah Dawson

Hannah is the youngest (and indisputably the coolest) of the Dawson sisters. Like her big sisters, she shares a love of foreign film, affinity for great cappuccinos, and passion for social justice. She currently lives her best life in LA where she studies screenwriting. Sarah and Hannah have traveled Budapest and Slovenia together - a trip that created their most special memories as sisters - and it's always the highlight of Sarah's year when Hannah spends the summer in NYC. A super cool skater girl, a fiercely loyal friend, and as compassionate as they come, Sarah feels so lucky to have her for a sister and by her side on the big day!
Steven Drubich

Fellow groomsmen Mat met Steven while traveling abroad, and one night when Steven was passing through NYC, Mat invited him to dinner with Raph, creating a new friendship, as he does. Steven has traveled even more of the world than Mat, over 80 countries at this point, and is full of curiosity and passion for experiencing life to the fullest. Raph, Mat and Steven have done some traveling together, including to Puerto Rico where the dove some questionable waterfalls and Mexico where they hosted a very calm and casual new years celebration. Steven is bright, well rounded, full of life experience and can start a conversation with just about anyone - you're likely to find yourself in a conversation with him at the wedding.
Natalya Subbotina

Sarah and Natalya first met in college when they rushed the same sorority. Sarah had an immediate girl crush as they got to know each other as sisters, then roommates, and eventually best friends. While they have different personalities in a lot ways, they share the same passion for making the world a better place and a serious love of adventure. One of Sarah's favorite memories is when Nat visited her in Thailand for New Years in 2014 and they sent floating lanterns into the sky at midnight. They've been through a lot in their 10 years of friendship, and Sarah knew her wedding day wouldn't be right without Natalya around to help her stay calm!
Joey Gallo

Raph and Joe pledged the same fraternity together in college which means they've been through things that are inappropriate for this forum, but more importantly through those moments, a lifelong friendship was born. There's little these two haven't experienced together as they shared a wall for about 5 years - one in the fraternity house, one in TriBeCa and one in the Lower East Side. They've road-tripped, partied, dined out, stoop-chilled and shared more spicy margaritas than you can count. Joe is passionate, business savvy, kind hearted and a great drinking buddy (just watch out for an Irish exit). He's definitely what some might refer to as prime hubby-material.
Jenny Waugaman

Sarah and Jenny grew up in the same small town and bonded in high school over their shared part-time job at Cold Stone, among other shenanigans. They both love to travel: Sarah has gone to Mexico with Jenny and her family many times, and Jenny even tagged along for Raph's 30th birthday in Martinique! Jenny is a voice of reason, wicked smart and inquisitive, driven, committed to making the world a better place, and a friend who can always be counted on. She is also an absolute blast to be around, so expect her to show off some of the best moves on the dance floor!
Max Grinacoff

Raph and Max also pledged the same fraternity together. Max always figured out a way to come up with interesting ways to challenge Raph's patience and problem solving skills, for that, Raph will always be grateful to Max. Max has always been reliable in borrowing things, such as cars, and returning them with no damage. Max can always make you laugh, he's smarter than you think, even if you've known him for 10 years, and you'll be sure to see his signature dance move at the end of the night.
Kenzie Hughes

Sarah first met Kenzie in 6th grade, and you know a friendship built on middle school awkwardness is built to last. While good friends in middle school, it was in high school that their friendship really deepened. Kenzie is always the life of the party and keeps everyone laughing. Some of Sarah's favorite memories include taking Kenzie to Disneyland for her first time, going to Mexico with Kenzie & Jenny & Melissa, and line dancing at The Grizzly Rose on Sarah’s 21st birthday. Kenzie is incredibly thoughtful, supportive, encouraging, funny, and doesn't have an unkind bone in her body. Her smile and positive presence are sure to light up the whole wedding day!
Theodore Dyer

Theo is the utterly hilarious, Toy Story-loving, man-bun-sporting son of Lindsay and Travis, very close friends of Sarah and Raph's. Lindsay has been like a big sister to Sarah since they become next door neighbors in 1995. Lindsay, Travis and Theo are basically family, so of course Theo had to be part of the big day as the cutest ring bearer of all time!
Katelyn Johnson

Sarah and Katelyn - affectionately referred to as Katie Ruth - have been best friends since 6th grade. Their friendship has always been intentional and withstood many chapters of life, including all of those horrible teenage breakups and other dramas! Their friendship revolves around truthful, meaningful conversation and support, and Sarah owes so much of who she is to her friendship with Katelyn, who has always inspired confidence and staying true to yourself. She is a world-changer and constant inspiration to all who know her. S&K used to stay up late talking about the men they would marry one day... it's hard to believe those days are finally here! Sarah absolutely couldn't imagine her big day without Katie by her side.
Reverend Eugene E. Dawson Jr

Dr. Eugene E. Dawson Jr. (Gramps) is Sarah's grandfather and an important, inspiring figure in Sarah and Raph's life. Gramps provides constant wisdom, warmth, intellect, and most of all, love. As an ordained minister - and a husband of 60 years - Sarah and Raph feel incredibly blessed to have Gramps marry them.
Penelope Catarisano
Flower Girl
Penny is the precocious, adorable daughter of Andy and Glorie, some of Sarah and Raph's closest friends. While Sarah's friendship with the Cats dates back to the mid-2000s in Colorado, the four ended up in the same neighborhood in Brooklyn a few years ago. Sarah and Raph first met Penny when she was just two weeks old and they love being around to see her grow up! They are so excited to have her on petal patrol for the wedding day.
Jessica Drubich

Jessica is wifey to groomsman Steven, and one of Sarah and Raph's closest friends. She embraced Sarah with wide open arms when S&R started dating, and now the four of them live in the same apartment building in Brooklyn! Jessica is the woman you want around when fun is to be had and you need to make sure everyone feels special and loved - that's her superpower!
Endsley Eggert

Sarah and Endsley met at a Chapman admitted students event in Colorado and bonded right away, so much so that they met up in Vegas on their respective road trips to college in 2010. They became sorority sisters, roommates, and consistent Disneyland attendees. Endsley will make you feel welcome right away on the big day; it's just the warm, inviting woman that she is!
